That’s why i was reluctant to upgrade to iOS 15. 1st release would be riddled with bugs. Hope the fix comes fast.
*
But it is just a minor issue and I'm sure can be fixed. Still it shouldn't be a barrier to update to iOS 15. tongue.gif Not like it happens all the time. laugh.gif
However, not like I have really used iOS 15 as well. laugh.gif

Hello guys, need some help here.

Thinking to upgrade from iPhone 6 Plus to either iPhone 12 pro 256gb or iPhone 13 pro 256 gb.
I think Iphone 13 pro max 128 gb maybe the storage is a bit low.

Price difference is around 700rm plus (coz contract in Sg) between iPhone 12 pro 256gb vs iPhone 13 pro 256gb.

I’m a bit behind in terms of what the new iPhone could provide nowadays haha so thought best to check with you all.

I know that the camera is different for iPhone 13 pro but not sure is it worth it.

Thanks! smile.gif

Always go for a newer model whenever available if budget is not an issue.

See you in iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max thread! laugh.gif

Finally after all the hoo-hah of ESR case in Shopee and Lazada, I ordered mine from AliExpress and it took almost a month to reach me. sweat.gif rclxub.gif

I will not order anymore from AliExpress for sure. laugh.gif Back to the case, I like it though and it still attracts fingerprint but at least it is slightly matte, so not so much. I bought the black case. All in one, I like it. rclxms.gif

Same here, have deleted my AliExpress account after a bad experience of waiting close to 2 months for a product and it was never sent out and then waited close to a month for the refund biggrin.gif

Is it easy to slip the phone in and out of the case?
*
Yeah, I also deleted the app for good. laugh.gif

Not too difficult, it is not loose though. It is just nice. biggrin.gif

How about Machines? Same day replacement as well?

My battery health stays fixed at 87% for now and it will be unable to goes down in time to 80% before the warranty expires. It is about three weeks remaining. Not cool. I guess I would have to pay for it.

Nonetheless, still gonna wait for the battery degraded messages pop-up before I change. Not any sooner. Nvm the lesser capacity. I have just ordered a wireless powerbank to deal with it.
*
Mine is 88% now. sleep.gif Really so tempted to change the battery. laugh.gif

Dont change yet, Let it continue to drop until below 80% only replace it..theres some article that share the battery on ip12’s drop rapidly until around 85% and then slow down before reaches 80% sweat.gif , also it will be more stressful to replace and see it drop again from 100% lol
*
True also la. laugh.gif But I heartache to see it dropping like this…

I’m having a lot of issues with the WhatsApp after I updated to the latest ios. For starter it cannot connect via WiFi, can only connect via 4G. And my wifi can browse internet watch YouTube just fine. How ah?
*
I don’t have such issue though. Been connecting to WiFi whole day and replying messages on WhatsApp, so far OK though. Try to disable WiFi and enable again or restart router?

Sold off my wife’s 12 Pro Max (256GB) with two weeks warranty left last night. She’s still trying to get used to the 13 Pro Max size and weight now. She says it’s noticeably harder to hold and use compared to the 12 Pro Max laugh.gif
*
I wonder how much is that sold and what's the battery health?

Sold it for 3,800 and the battery health was 92%. It's a maxis unit that I bought on a normal contract for RM4,350 hence not much losses, hahaha...
Hahaha, yeah, all my devices are usually in tip top condition when I sell them off. Actually I had one or two buyers from here that FFK last minute so I put it up on Carousell and it was sold within 2 hours! biggrin.gif I was thinking if I can't sell it by the time the warranty expires, I'll just use it myself and then trade it in for the 14 next year. biggrin.gif
*
92% is still higher than my 88%. sad.gif One year only lose out RM 5xx, that's a good price.

I wanna sell mine too. innocent.gif Too bad Digi locks me down for 2 years and though I am a good payor who always overpays my bill every month but only people who know me in real life will trust me. Otherwise it is difficult to convince a stranger to buy my phone with the known risk that it will be locked if I don't pay my bill.

My wife doesn't really have a fixed charging routine, she simply charges the phone as and when she sees a charger nearby and hardly ever charges to a full 100%, so maybe that helped kept the battery level to above 90%. Like you said, I do suspect the battery on the 12 series probably has some kind of flaw or quality issue that allows the level to drop to below 90% in less than a year. Not sure if it only affects the 12 Pro Max coz I did buy and use an iPhone 12 and when I sold it off close to 5 months later the battery health was still 100%.
You bought the phone via Digi's PhoneFreedom plan? I think if you're on normal contract then you should be able to sell off your phone coz I don't think telcos can block a phone if you paid cash for it on a normal contract basis. I had to show my maxis receipt to the buyer as well to assure him that my phone wasn't a maxis Zerolution set.
*
My bestie in China got her iPhone 12 PM in end Dec or early Jan and she is sad over 97% battery health until she heard about my 88%. rolleyes.gif

Yes, Digi only has PF365 and it is like installment, I think something like Zerolution? Or did I misunderstand it?

Yes phonefreedom works exactly the same as Celcom’s easy phone and maxis’s zerolution where you don’t need to pay any upfront, just monthly installment for your phone and the line, while normal contracts have to pay one lum sum for the phone under telco subsidized price, and then separate monthly payment solely on the contract line..
*
I would love to have the latter option but unfortunately I think only Maxis has...

Hmm I’m not too sure about Digi coz I’m always a Maxis and Celcom guy..but I’m sure most telco has installment and normal contracts available for their newly launched iPhones every year, that’s how they earn money from both sides (installment and contract payment)..need someone else to confirm this..
*
It is a new stuff, I think only launched on 1st Oct. Anyway, on second thought I will probably go for reseller set next time, I don't need expensive postpaid plan anymore in the future. biggrin.gif Might as well buy it outright from reseller and if I want can opt for the usual 12 months installment plan.

QUOTE(dikae @ Nov 1 2021, 04:37 PM)
Ohh ok..but if you are already paying around 120/month then it’s better to just get the 24months contract..for example the 13PM 256gb rrp at 5799, if you get digi’s 120/month x 24 months, they subsidize 1400 on the phone price..pretty worth it imo smile.gif unless your normal monthly commitment is around 50-60 then you definitely save more buying it outright and not tie up to an expensive telco contract..
*
I am using Digi Ambassador 0 which has 0 monthly commitment, if I don't use it then I don't pay anything. I only use it to receive calls, make Digi calls (free RM 50/month Digi calls) and SMS for banking purpose. My secondary SIM is a Celcom corporate plan which is paid directly by company, so I use it most of the time to make calls as it has unlimited calls and we are given with 30GB data plan which is my main data plan on this iPhone.

The reason why I subscribe one expensive postpaid plan is I substituted it with Digi Infinite 150 Plan which I was using when I was staying alone in KL before lockdown, now I'm back in hometown and working from home but I still use it as my broadband to work. This SIM is always in a router and has 200GB data which is enough for my work purpose. Since I'm already paying that much for Digi Infinite, so I was why not just switch it to PF365 with some discounts and zero upfront? I did lose out as it was unlimited data vs present 200GB data. laugh.gif

Next year, I will move to my own place in KL and it will have fibre installed, so I don't need to subscribe to expensive postpaid plan anymore. tongue.gif

Yup, my favourite store has always been Lazada Apple authorised reseller. 12 months installment the best, no need 18 or 24 months. Too long and too messy. The year before last year gave us additional one year warranty and this year gives 20w and magsafe wireless charger. Why they have no promotion last year I wonder...
*
Thanks for sharing this, looks good in my opinion! However, I'm concerned on their delivery, will they deliver on day 1? blush.gif
If like this I can change iPhone every year. rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(dikae @ Nov 1 2021, 04:57 PM)
Ohh got it, then yes skip all the expensive telco plans, since you already got Celcom corporate plan for unlimited calls etc..bestnya….get outright from AASP, can upgrade every year tongue.gif
*
I do have another issue though, my current AirSIM for AW is tied to this expensive Digi PF365 plan because my Amb0 is not eligible for AirSIM. laugh.gif Let me think how to settle this issue next year. laugh.gif

my plan is also locked for 24 years, but that's the iphone 11 Pro which i sold off anyways, still paying the bill so that buyer has no worries. lol
My company subsidies phone bills so it's more worth it for me to just sign up with telco and pay them monthly.
*
I do pay bill diligently but I do understand if someone who doesn't know me will find it risky if I owe payment and the phone gets locked. I would be concerned too if I were in such situation. tongue.gif Good for you to find a buyer who trusts you. biggrin.gif

People do get it on day 1 but unfortunately none of the forumers got it. Everyone was upset that we may only get ours on Monday until we noticed there's package movement on day 2...  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

I think their preorder is a mess. Normally their 12.01am order and same day shipping is easier. Anyhow, I tried to use their website for 13 pro. Can't even get one at all. Lucky I wasn't getting one this year.  cool2.gif  whistling.gif

laugh.gif Kinda risky as well but good to have it as one of the options.
