I’m having a lot of issues with the WhatsApp after I updated to the latest ios. For starter it cannot connect via WiFi, can only connect via 4G. And my wifi can browse internet watch YouTube just fine. How ah?

I don’t have such issue though. Been connecting to WiFi whole day and replying messages on WhatsApp, so far OK though. Try to disable WiFi and enable again or restart router?

Don’t change battery yet.. whether it drops to 80% also. Battery life still good. Wait till it can’t last long, then change.

Sold off my wife’s 12 Pro Max (256GB) with two weeks warranty left last night. She’s still trying to get used to the 13 Pro Max size and weight now. She says it’s noticeably harder to hold and use compared to the 12 Pro Max

Sold it for 3,800 and the battery health was 92%. It's a maxis unit that I bought on a normal contract for RM4,350 hence not much losses, hahaha...

Actually I had one or two buyers from here that FFK last minute so I put it up on Carousell and it was sold within 2 hours! I was thinking if I can't sell it by the time the warranty expires, I'll just use it myself and then trade it in for the 14 next year.

My wife doesn't really have a fixed charging routine, she simply charges the phone as and when she sees a charger nearby and hardly ever charges to a full 100%, so maybe that helped kept the battery level to above 90%. Like you said, I do suspect the battery on the 12 series probably has some kind of flaw or quality issue that allows the level to drop to below 90% in less than a year. Not sure if it only affects the 12 Pro Max coz I did buy and use an iPhone 12 and when I sold it off close to 5 months later the battery health was still 100%.
You bought the phone via Digi's PhoneFreedom plan? I think if you're on normal contract then you should be able to sell off your phone coz I don't think telcos can block a phone if you paid cash for it on a normal contract basis. I had to show my maxis receipt to the buyer as well to assure him that my phone wasn't a maxis Zerolution set.

It is a new stuff, I think only launched on 1st Oct. Anyway, on second thought I will probably go for reseller set next time, I don't need expensive postpaid plan anymore in the future. Might as well buy it outright from reseller and if I want can opt for the usual 12 months installment plan.

I am using Digi Ambassador 0 which has 0 monthly commitment, if I don't use it then I don't pay anything. I only use it to receive calls, make Digi calls (free RM 50/month Digi calls) and SMS for banking purpose. My secondary SIM is a Celcom corporate plan which is paid directly by company, so I use it most of the time to make calls as it has unlimited calls and we are given with 30GB data plan which is my main data plan on this iPhone.

The reason why I subscribe one expensive postpaid plan is I substituted it with Digi Infinite 150 Plan which I was using when I was staying alone in KL before lockdown, now I'm back in hometown and working from home but I still use it as my broadband to work. This SIM is always in a router and has 200GB data which is enough for my work purpose. Since I'm already paying that much for Digi Infinite, so I was why not just switch it to PF365 with some discounts and zero upfront? I did lose out as it was unlimited data vs present 200GB data.

Next year, I will move to my own place in KL and it will have fibre installed, so I don't need to subscribe to expensive postpaid plan anymore.

I do have another issue though, my current AirSIM for AW is tied to this expensive Digi PF365 plan because my Amb0 is not eligible for AirSIM. Let me think how to settle this issue next year.

Did you charge using magsafe? I heard it can get quite warm with magsafe. Could that be affecting battery health?

Mine was 99% when I sold off this Tues. Wife’s is at 98% now. Both units bought during launch day. But I charge in air conditioned room la.
