Did a quick test only. It comes with 90 days warranty though so if anything at least im still covered.
3 months warranty is more than enough to keep you peace of mind..[2020]iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max Discussion Thread | V3, It’s a leap year.

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Oct 25 2021, 10:56 AM) Huh? They got drop prices? actually the resale value for 12 pro/PM is not too bad as the demand is still there, due to the minimal design changes/ almost identical with the 13 pro/PM.. according to my buyer, he bought it coz he don't feel like buying an older model, at least thats how he felt... The only thing owners are still counting on the high resale value is because they’ don’t know the appetite in the market has changed. Most people aren’t that into spending that much money anymore especially after corvid, things really change. only problem is that there are too many units available and people just wouldn't reduce their asking price, all waiting to get lucky with their sale |

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Oct 27 2021, 12:37 AM) I’m having a lot of issues with the WhatsApp after I updated to the latest ios. For starter it cannot connect via WiFi, can only connect via 4G. And my wifi can browse internet watch YouTube just fine. How ah? If you have tried other ways and nothing helps, try to reset your network’s settings (this will just reset your network and nothing else)Settings - general - transfer or reset phone - reset - reset networks settings QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 27 2021, 01:14 AM) True also la. Yea I know how it feels I don’t have such issue though. Been connecting to WiFi whole day and replying messages on WhatsApp, so far OK though. Try to disable WiFi and enable again or restart router? |

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 31 2021, 07:32 PM) Sold off my wife’s 12 Pro Max (256GB) with two weeks warranty left last night. She’s still trying to get used to the 13 Pro Max size and weight now. She says it’s noticeably harder to hold and use compared to the 12 Pro Max Nice, at least 2 weeks of peace for the buyer in case of any manufacturer defect…did you wife say anything about the 120hz? |

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 1 2021, 11:47 AM) No, I plan to let her use if for a week or two then ask her if she noticed the 120hz or not - I'm gonna bet she doesn't! actually yes the 120hz is not quite noticeable if you compare it with 12PM but on the ipad mini 6 and air 4 it's quite obvious..Sold it for 3,800 and the battery health was 92%. It's a maxis unit that I bought on a normal contract for RM4,350 hence not much losses, hahaha... Hahaha, yeah, all my devices are usually in tip top condition when I sell them off. Actually I had one or two buyers from here that FFK last minute so I put it up on Carousell and it was sold within 2 hours! I think most on sale 12PM have low battery health this year, at least from my observation on the on going sales ads.. alot even at 84-88% with a few months warranty left.. |

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 1 2021, 01:41 PM) Yeah, will wait and see if she notices if scrolling is smoother or not - since she does use a fair bit of social media like FB and Insta... from my observation from sales threads, i think even 12 pro's and 12's have low battery health, at least compared to previous models...never seen phones within a year for sale below 90% as much as this year's..lets hope the 13's are better...My wife doesn't really have a fixed charging routine, she simply charges the phone as and when she sees a charger nearby and hardly ever charges to a full 100%, so maybe that helped kept the battery level to above 90%. Like you said, I do suspect the battery on the 12 series probably has some kind of flaw or quality issue that allows the level to drop to below 90% in less than a year. Not sure if it only affects the 12 Pro Max coz I did buy and use an iPhone 12 and when I sold it off close to 5 months later the battery health was still 100%. You bought the phone via Digi's PhoneFreedom plan? I think if you're on normal contract then you should be able to sell off your phone coz I don't think telcos can block a phone if you paid cash for it on a normal contract basis. I had to show my maxis receipt to the buyer as well to assure him that my phone wasn't a maxis Zerolution set. technically yes for 24 months normal contract, you've paid off the phone, if you don't pay your monthly bill on time, you don't get to use the line, phone however can be used with another active sim card.. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 1 2021, 02:11 PM) My bestie in China got her iPhone 12 PM in end Dec or early Jan and she is sad over 97% battery health until she heard about my 88%. Yes phonefreedom works exactly the same as Celcom’s easy phone and maxis’s zerolution where you don’t need to pay any upfront, just monthly installment for your phone and the line, while normal contracts have to pay one lum sum for the phone under telco subsidized price, and then separate monthly payment solely on the contract line..Yes, Digi only has PF365 and it is like installment, I think something like Zerolution? Or did I misunderstand it? |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 1 2021, 04:13 PM) Ah! I think this is a new option, I don't recall seeing this in the past, at least when I got mine last year. Hmm I’m not too sure about Digi coz I’m always a Maxis and Celcom guy..but I’m sure most telco has installment and normal contracts available for their newly launched iPhones every year, that’s how they earn money from both sides (installment and contract payment)..need someone else to confirm this.. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 1 2021, 04:26 PM) It is a new stuff, I think only launched on 1st Oct. Anyway, on second thought I will probably go for reseller set next time, I don't need expensive postpaid plan anymore in the future. Ohh ok..but if you are already paying around 120/month then it’s better to just get the 24months contract..for example the 13PM 256gb rrp at 5799, if you get digi’s 120/month x 24 months, they subsidize 1400 on the phone price..pretty worth it imo |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 1 2021, 04:50 PM) I am using Digi Ambassador 0 which has 0 monthly commitment, if I don't use it then I don't pay anything. I only use it to receive calls, make Digi calls (free RM 50/month Digi calls) and SMS for banking purpose. My secondary SIM is a Celcom corporate plan which is paid directly by company, so I use it most of the time to make calls as it has unlimited calls and we are given with 30GB data plan which is my main data plan on this iPhone. Ohh got it, then yes skip all the expensive telco plans, since you already got Celcom corporate plan for unlimited calls etc..bestnya….get outright from AASP, can upgrade every year The reason why I subscribe one expensive postpaid plan is I substituted it with Digi Infinite 150 Plan which I was using when I was staying alone in KL before lockdown, now I'm back in hometown and working from home but I still use it as my broadband to work. This SIM is always in a router and has 200GB data which is enough for my work purpose. Since I'm already paying that much for Digi Infinite, so I was why not just switch it to PF365 with some discounts and zero upfront? I did lose out as it was unlimited data vs present 200GB data. Next year, I will move to my own place in KL and it will have fibre installed, so I don't need to subscribe to expensive postpaid plan anymore. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 1 2021, 05:08 PM) Thanks for sharing this, looks good in my opinion! However, I'm concerned on their delivery, will they deliver on day 1? Ahh telco tricks, to tie us up here and there so we are locked to them forever…lol once you settle it then you’re free from telco! If like this I can change iPhone every year. I do have another issue though, my current AirSIM for AW is tied to this expensive Digi PF365 plan because my Amb0 is not eligible for AirSIM. |

QUOTE(BoomBoomCiao @ Nov 10 2021, 10:43 AM) Hi guys, want to ask is it normal for my iPhone 12 pro max battery health drop to 90% in 1 year time ? It’s not normal for iphone but in your case, yes it’s normal on the iPhone 12 lineups, it has been reported massively that most iPhone 12 users are going through the same issue with battery health dropping rapidly (even affecting those with minimal usage), a lot of us here already see 85-88% within a year of use..never has this happened in any of the previous model (from iPhone X to 11), hopefully won’t affect the 13’s as well Thank you |

QUOTE(giovanni @ Nov 12 2021, 08:46 AM) Did you charge using magsafe? I heard it can get quite warm with magsafe. Could that be affecting battery health? Wife’s secondary phone ip12PM use an hour a day, charge once every 3-4 days, no calls made, normal cable and stock adapter from iPhone 11, pretty minimal use, after a year at 90% |
