if you do a battery replacement at switch for example, how long is the procedure? is it done in a day or do you have to leave your phone for a couple of days?

during my 1st year using iphone 12 pro, the battery health keep dropping but strange, these few months it stopped at 90% and not dropping anymore...

nope, normal phone case.... hahaa i was thinking because iphone 12 is steel, so it easily generate heat, and the phone case might trapped heat and harming the battery (?)

Hi all, i itchy itchy went and check my iPhone 12 Pro battery health this morning and it says 88%! Just barely over a year of purchase, the battery health dropped so much. Should I change the battery? And where can I do so? Any idea how much would it cost?

Mine dropped to 82% after nine months till now. I have contacted the tech support for my battery health issue, they say if change now need to pay yourself and they wont recommend to change, so they will only run some diagnose and suggest how to optimise it. BTW the tech support got hint me numerous times about getting it to fall below 79% so they can arrange a schedule to get the battery replace for free (since I am still under warranty till April).

that's why the tech support only hinting me and since I still have three months left, just continue monitor the capacity. drop to 79 within warranty period, go change new for free, if exceeded warranty period. just change phone or battery using own money. if die die maintain 80, i will still need to do something what.

What should I do if I want to send my phone for battery replacement? I don't have any other spare phone, and all my data is inside; I cannot clear everything before handing it over to them, and again, my data may be compromised when my phone is not with me. Man, I'm so stressed over this.

Is there anywhere I can see them doing it in front of me?

I really don't want to wipe off the date because restore gonna take time.

Sounds like a good idea. This is my first iPhone and gonna be the first time to do backup and restore as well. May I know if use iCloud, everything will be intact? Even the apps settings like logins?

Awesome. I just contacted the Switch near my house and they said if I can send it before noon, I could get it on the same day, latest by evening. However, like you said I will need to wipe off the data.

Hi all, need some input/opinion. I got a brand new iphone 12 for my mum from Apple Authorised Reseller store in Lazada during 07.07. After a couple of weeks, she was facing some issues with charging where sometimes although plugged in but it does not charge, must adjust the angle of the cable a bit then only it can resume charging. I have tried with 2 original Apple cables and 4 ugreen cables, it tends to happen more often with the 2 Apple cables and 1 ugreen cable, as for the other 2 ugreen cables it does happen but less frequently.

I've tried to clean the lightning port but no lint/dust inside. Is there any way to fix this? If i bring it to Switch, can this be fixed FOC (since still under warranty)? I couldn't find any quoted price for repairs on their website too. If anyone has faced this issue before, please do share your experience.

Is it safe to take a used 1 year and 10 months old 12 pro max under celcom. No way to verify if its under EasyPhone or not though. What are the chances of it getting telco locked this far in?

I already made an appointment to change my battery on the 16th. I am required to back up my phone before sending it in and will use the iCloud method as suggested by dikae, but suddenly something struck my mind; what about my eSIM profile? Will it be restored too? I had an issue when I first got my eSIM from Digi, and I plan to do it again only when I get a new iPhone. I hope I can back up and restore my eSIM profile. Appreciate your advice.

Yeah, looks like I will need to take such a risk and get ready to rush to Digi Centre if it fails. Maybe I won't have mobile signal for one day.

I haven't upgraded to the iCloud plan yet, I guess almost the same size as yours. I guess I cannot restore while I'm at the mall, let's see how it goes. I will update later.
