Check if your Optimised Battery Charging feature is on and turn it off.

It should be off, but if you plan to leave your phone on the charger overnight then it should be on. Here’s the write up on Optimsed Battery Charging: -

If it doesn’t charge till full then it could be the phone hasn’t learned your charging patterns yet so the algorithm may be incomplete yet.

Nope, that won’t work. That’s one of the pains of having an iPhone, it’s not an open system.

Nah, I’m sure the phone button isn’t that flimsy. What tends to happen though is I inadvertently turn on silent mode whenever I change cases and not realise it till much later

I think most cases still rounded around the edge. Anyways, on my list of cases to try are Rhinoshield, Mous and Nomad. Already ordered my Nomad and waiting for it to arrive next month

I’ve got 14.3 since it was available and my experience is different though. Am having better battery life than 14.2.1 on my iPhone 12.

WhatsApp is a big culprit in power consumption, especially if you have plenty of group chats. Even so 19% is not normal. Is your phone on mobile or cellular during the standby, and is your Bluetooth on?

Ya, when the phone has just been charged to full, it takes some time to drop down from 100% due to the way the software is tuned. Same happens for mine too which is why I charge it to full habitually every night.

I have two UAG cases - a Plasma for the 12 Pro Max which is currently used by my wife and a UAG Civilian for my 12. The Plasma is very tight and a bit difficult to put it on and take it off, where else it’s fairly easy for the Civilian. I’m not a fan of folio cases so no experience there

Agreed. Ringke and Spigen are probably two of the more "value for money" branded cases for our phones - good balance between price and protection

Retail stores offering credit card points redemption are like Senheng and Harvey Norman. I would advise against signing a long term contract with a telco just to get a phone on the cheap only to find the telco's service isn't up to par in your area. That said, if U Mobile has good coverage where you work, live, and play then no issues.

I’ve left “Listen for Hey Siri” on for three nights now since iOS 14.3 - no more night activities. Have you tried yours?

I’m not sure if it’s something they plan to fix. Could be something they intentionally do to save data or battery, hahaha...

Another thing to try is restarting your phone after the full charge before you sleep and see if that helps.

Agreed, but there’s also an element of luck. Friend of mine had a tempered glass SP and dropped his phone right on the edge of the screen so much so there was still a hairline crack on the screen under the tempered glass. Go figure
