I think the Acbel 500Watt or Silverstone ST56F is sufficient.

I like the Acbel 500W with LCD display. But will it sufficient when I upgraded to 8800 GTX or ultra later?

While the silverstone ST56F was initially my plan... But the problem is the warranty... only one year.... sien... If confirm 3 years, sure I buy now, even today. sweat.gif

I bought from my PC they said 3 years, of course 1 year from MyPC and the rest maybe need to pay a little. If u r going to single card then its ok.

Hmmm.. Yet to able to test my new gaming rig... Now what it lacking is the PSU....  sweat.gif

Do you think I need 600W+ to push the RAM? Or 400W will do?

FYI, I have a 8800GTS 320MB

ooo... if ur GC got single 6-pin connector or don have than u can take my Topower(not the Top detergent tongue.gif ) TOP-600-P5 M2 600W PSU... smile.gif

if u wanna upgrade later on than better take Silverstone OP series 800W... icon_rolleyes.gif

I am not sure I paid MyPC a visit or not... But other shops that carry Silverstone do not have the PSU I wanted.

QUOTE(Traveler @ Aug 21 2007, 12:04 PM)
Last weekend I bought 2x 1GB of Kingston Value Ram DDR2-800s (without heatspreader). I forgot to check the chips for details before I stuck on some cheap heatspreaders. But I got them to 900 at stock voltage and timings (5-5-5-15)

System was a E6550 @3.15GHz (7x450) stock voltage on IP-35 mobo.

Hadn't downloaded Orthos yet to do a stability test, but I ran a 10-hour overnight MPEG encoding batch job which maxed out the 2 cores. So I think it's stable enough.

Didn't expect the RAM to go so easily to 900 (wasn't originally planning to OC, so I decided not to splurge on RAM), so will be trying for more in the coming days.

I'm only using Kingston Value ram DDR-2 667 1G X 2 only.
But I am not sure, I think I clock my ram to 1648.2MHz

correct please if I'm wrong.......

i using kingston hyperX DDR800 and biostar TA770+ . i can manage to get it at DDR 1066 with stock volatge and timing 4-4-4-12
but then why when i set that then the CPU-Z shows nothing in frequency and FSB:DRam column ?

should i set it back to DDR800 or stay with the DDR1066? what is the pros and cons? thx

i would rather buy kingmax 1066 rather than so called hyper X performance ram... 1150mhz below 2v cl5 is easy.
