well, 1.95v and 2.0v isnt too far but yes, i managed to passed SuperPI 1M with that speed..didnt try 32M as it will just wasting my time..
How much can HyperX DDR800 be pushed?, Can it get DDR1000 with longer latency?

Or if u wanna save a couple bucks, get the Normal KVR with Hynix FP-Y5. I've tested them and max OC are :
2.1V, DDR2 1034 5-6-6-12 2.2V, DDR2 1062 5-6-6-12 |

Last weekend I bought 2x 1GB of Kingston Value Ram DDR2-800s (without heatspreader). I forgot to check the chips for details before I stuck on some cheap heatspreaders. But I got them to 900 at stock voltage and timings (5-5-5-15)
System was a E6550 @3.15GHz (7x450) stock voltage on IP-35 mobo. Hadn't downloaded Orthos yet to do a stability test, but I ran a 10-hour overnight MPEG encoding batch job which maxed out the 2 cores. So I think it's stable enough. Didn't expect the RAM to go so easily to 900 (wasn't originally planning to OC, so I decided not to splurge on RAM), so will be trying for more in the coming days. It seem HyperX is not really value for money. Plus I read some got problem at DDR800, where it is default at DDR667
I wish my memory has heat spreader, even thought I do not overclock a lot... So.. How about the Corsair XMS2 DDR800 5-5-5-12 2GB Kit? It should be better buy then the Kinston, right? |

Plus I read some got problem at DDR800, where it is default at DDR667 lots of ram r programmed to be detected below the standard juz to make sure mobo can boot them correctly n let the user to adjust it... most ddr1066 n above r programmed at ddr800 or 667 too... the corsair xms2 is worst than kingston hyper-x... i used both of them before... kingston hyper-x is using infineon chipset... i can't even get the xms2 to run at 800mhz 4-4-4-12 or even 15 at 2.1v... it can barely reach 920mhz on my xms2 at 2.2v 5-5-5-15... maybe i'm bad luck or what... nowadays, lotsa chipset can reach 1000mhz easily n stable.. promos, infineon, elpida, hynix just to name a few... QUOTE(HaHaNoCluE @ Aug 29 2007, 01:32 PM) xms2 has a ddr800 cl4 version if i'm not wrong... but anyway, u might have a different luck... hopefully... Actually I am ok if I only let me run at 400Mhz, where I can already overclock my C2D into 2.8GHz at 1:1 without any voltage adjustment.Well, maybe I will overclock the RAM a bit... just to round up the C2D figure into 3.0GHz... |
