Those of us who pre-order online has priority over those who pre-order on the next day at Sony store. It's a simple chronological events.

Sony's BUSINESS DECISION to fulfill their walk in pre-order which happened later than the online pre-order, while delaying or even cancelling online pre-order is unlawful and breach basic consumer rights.

We can bring Sony store manager to consumer tribunal.

In reality, most businesses would avoid going to consumer tribunal. My family member did it with Senghxng, they compromised after being issued the letter to go consumer tribunal.

Going to consumer tribunal is actually baby step only. That’s what the tribunal is for. It only take RM2 fee to lodge your case to consumer tribunal if I’m not mistaken, but business bosses especially those with established name will avoid going there. Let’s see if Sony Malaysia manager wish to attend the tribunal.

Okay, let their manager attend consumer tribunal to read out their T&C. My argument would be chronology of pre-order, where they disregard one group of legitimate pre-order over another group.

Worse case scenario, tribunal just request Sony refund. At least we stand up for our right as a consumer.

They can draw up whatever T&C, but not every T&C is enforceable under the laws. Also, consumer tribunal is not court, Sony can’t send a lawyer to represent them, they can only send management ppl or manager.

Other region the Sony care about their reputation, hence they willing to give disc version for ppl who actually pre-order digital version.

Here in Msia, Sony can delay or cancel ppl's pre-order due to their own human fault/system glitch. I doubt they care much about reputation here so give you better deal than what u ordered.
