Digital version is BLACK box, disc version is WHITE box. It's very difficult to mix up unless Sony employ blind employees.

Then again, it's not uncommon for companies that value their brand reputation to give some candies to customers in order to avoid backlash, but that is totally up to the attitude of the local management. Most foreign companies when operating in Msia, the local management adopt local tak apa/kiamsiap attitude that is totally not the same as their foreign counterpart.

Unless Sony Msia is headed by a foreigner, otherwise you can expect local attitude in handling customer, totally cannot compare with more developed countries where businesses avoid offsetting customers.

LOL. Alleged system glitch is their own problem, a legal contract has been made when the pre-order is made and payment made. There's no justification that walk-in pre-order later after the that can be processed as promised while earlier PO made can be delayed.

You may run your business however you deem fit, but be prepared to face the consequences from disgruntled customers.

Plot twist, Sony told me they can fulfill my pre-order after I online chat with their customer support for the 2nd time today on my supposedly cancelled pre-order.

Sony online support:
"Ok, I have checked under your order ID and I am glad to inform you that we are able to fulfil your PS5 order under the 1st batch."

All I can say is they really need to improve customer communication.

Last week I call and online chat, they confirmed no hope, will refund me instead, cannot push to waiting list.

So I waited for my refund, no update, online chat with them today........... then plot twist.

All these while no email other than the initial pre-order confirmation.
