Am seriously wondering if the item will arrive this year considering the 12.12 sale will jam the logistics

Don't think it will impact. As some orders which are placed later have their arrival time set to early Jan to mid Jan already. I believe they have staggered out the delivery based on who ordered first.

Hmm. I guess for iPad users who want a Mac, the mac mini m1 is the best "entry point" without breaking the bank.

Unless you ditch the iPad, then go for a macbook (air / pro) instead.

Already got an iPad 6 and a 15" MBP, but looking for an M1 Mac, couldn't decide whether to go for Mac Mini or MBA to replace my dying MBP...

MBA will make my iPad redundant in my mobility, but Mac Mini plug onto a TV means no privacy when doing work at home.

Decisions decisions... unsure.gif

Just buy la.... from the reviews, the MBA is surprisingly powerful...only slows down under crazy heavy load

Haha... Very tempted by the Gold MBA... brows.gif but cannot crunch 100% CPU without throttling...

Was thinking the Mini can BOINC or Folding 24/7 and can plug to TV permanently for entertainment... down side is no screen privacy when wanna work...

Received my Mini yesterday, first time using Mac Os, so far so good, still learning the keyboard shortcut.

Ohh...there has been a change of status. Apple is preparing to ship the order already. My experience with Apple Store is that they will arrive plus minus one day from their promise date. Not sure if we are getting the Made in Malaysia version.

If I had the mac mini M1, i'll use my iPad as the monitor for the Mac Mini. That's how I would do it. Privacy is still guaranteed. LOL

I’m thinking of getting this M1 mac mini... basically to replace my aging 2012 27” iMac...

I’m also thinking of getting 27 or 32 inch monitor... what monitor is suitable for mac mini? Never go this route before... is it make sense to get 144Hz monitor?
