Hi everyone...
Its good to know there are fellow CAUL & Qsteer enthusiast here... Current stash: Qsteer- Skyline KPC30 - Mitsu Rallyart Evo 9 & Subaru Imprezza WRX CAUL- Nissan Skyline R32 - Mitsubishi Evo X Was really crazy in modding the exterior of my CAUL..lol, below are the pictures to share with you guys... R32 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Evo X (tryin to emulate Sequential's Black Illusion EVO X) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sequential Black Illusion EVO X ![]() Tried to transplant the motor with the Hyper Dash motor I bought from Tamiya but it did not work. Was told by my Electronic engineer colleague that i need to change the transistor on the electronic board to allow more current to flow to the Hyper dash motor. Will get my new transistors tonite and tried making the modification tomoro. Lets hope it works coz the Hyper Dash motors are really killer fast & powerful...lol |

QUOTE(RCrex @ Jun 10 2008, 07:22 PM) whoa Nope, cant plug & play. Found out last Saturday when i went to buy this plasma dash motor frm Tamiya, this lil bugger has a RPM of up to 25,000 at the correct load of 3V and 2.8 mA. Did the 'transplant and the motor wont even turn one bit. self modify the splitter n diffuser? nice tamiya motor cannot plug n play? i was thinking of that but never tried forgot to say i hav a evo7 also Checked online for the stock motor, and found out that it only has a max RPM of around 7000~9000 for load of 3V. http://www.mabuchi-motor.co.jp/cgi-bin/cat...CAT_ID=fa_130ra Checked with the DC power supply console in the office, the stock motor consume current of 0.1 mA at 3V and the Tamiya motor consume current of 0.6 mA at the same voltage load. Then gave circuit board to my coll to check...lol, and he found out that the transistors used in the board is only supplyin current up to 0.1 mA and thats why the tamiya motor cant run. So gonna do a transistor surgery tomoro morning and hope it works...fingers crossed...lol Looking forward to see ya Evo 7..
