do not use addresses
the malsing maps does not support it if i'm not mistaken
i normally search using 'spell name'
located in food,hotels.......

alternatively you could get MapSource and search for the addresses you want, add a waypoint there, and transfer to your device.

search for your home location, after that save that location as 'my location'

once you added go to 'tools'
go to manage my data
go to my location
select the location you just saved
select change location
select use current location

next time when you view map, you'll see it.

v 2.14 but it is locked. you need to contribute in order to unlock it

the older version is open so you can use it.

its in the link posted above. and do select the one for symbian Mobile and not other version or else you will have trouble with abbreviations of road names.

if you want some local dialect like cantonese, mandarin,hokkien.....go download the taiwan version,extract the file using winrar and transfer only the required voices file to your voice folder, it work with my nokia N95

updated and reformatted my memory card.

its like a brand new phone

had trouble updating it as it caused my phone to crash. couldnt on my phone after that.
successfully repaired after 3 attempts
phew!

i particularly like the extra free ram

but i do not like the new font.
also SRDemo is no longer there
anyone noticed this?

i just backup certain stuff like pictures and ringing tones and music
then i format my memory cardusing the phone

then transfer my backup stuff and my 1st backup
else i'll lose asiamaps and the nokia dictionary database.

if i'm not mistaken, you shld be using the old nokia maps before the update right?

cause i think the nokia maps 1.0 uses a diff type of map

try connecting ur phone via mass storage,

open the map loader

remove all existing maps

reinstall the Msia and SG maps again.

shld be able to help

and if you want, you can download your voice files for navi

not everything
just stuff you want like your documents, images, songs.
then reformat and copy from your old backup (asia maps & nokia dictionary)

you can choose not to copy from your old backup
the only thing is you will no longer have asia maps or nokia dictionary word database.

you can also choose to backup the entire memory card but it would defeat the whole purpose of reformatting it.

copy relevant stuff

btw, the backup function of PC Suite really amazing, basically will backup everything and restore everything, I tried out, but the whole menus also restored yesterday... don't like the old one... soft-reset and reinstall all my application.

V20 really "SONG"!!! Now got 30 mb  cool2.gif can open more application than previously!!! so far didn't face out of memory problem, anybody encounter that?
