after reading some of the pages, can i say that using GPS doesnt need any connection other than satellite (no need gprs/edge/wifi/3g)?
On average how long does it take to get the position ? And what's the refresh rate of the gps ? If u know what i mean. I'm interested to get this phone (most probably the new 8gb one) because of this GPS thing. Ur help is very much appreciated |

What i know is Garmin gps product is free as well. No monthly subscription or anything. And from their website it says that N95 is supported by them. Just insert the micro sd card and voila, ur ready to go. So basically all i need to do to get going is download a map into the memory card, right ? |

if u enable A-GPS, it will require internet connection(GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WiFi, etc) because it need reference from telco provider to speed up the location positioning.
most of the stuff/guide/problem can be found in the manual. please read it before use. N95 is called a smartphone for some reason... |
