I've set the "Use Network" to never in Maps application but Maxis still charge me about RM20 every month for GPRS usage even though I've never used GPRS to surf at all. Any ideas how to completely disable GPRS usage for GPS?

Well, Before It Flashes The Firmware, Your Phone Will Reboot.. So Don't Worry About Incoming Calls Or SMS As You Will Never Get To Receive Them.. During The Download Of The Firmware, Feel Free To Play Around With The Phone, Receive Calls Or Type SMS.. Just Stop Doing So When The Download Is Almost Done.. That's Where The Flashing Process Will Start..

AFAIK it is NO CHARGE...

use the map nokia i mention b4. so u will on9 dl to ur memery card.
in ur map setting u nid to specific not to use internet connection. then it wont update ur map

When i open the maps application... then it will show a big earth to me.... bt it wont run... Dunno y....

u nid stand outside la. open space. then u open the satelite info
then wait for black bars.
it will take more than 1 min to wait

almost the same d. the main point is stay at open space. gps cannot detect satelite under covered area. keep in mind.
