C725, that buyer was saying C725 had been used for 10 days, after he checked the service menu.

Actually it is not..
The 'hack' is to activate Discovery UI which is inspired by Google TV UI and will revert back to old UI when the system detect the device location is outside of supported countries.

Meanwhile, what @hizadzahid shared is the real Google TV UI with 'For Your' tab.
It is either using TCL TV firmware based on Google TV or installed 'Google TV Home' app.

No firmware will be released with Google TV.
Only interface for Home screen, by doing yourself or wait from Google when our region will be available.

TV or device that comes with real Google TV UI use firmware that has Google TV UI/UX/features baked into it. Even though it is based on Android TV, it is still different because it is not just interface but 'more' than that.

What you are referring to is new Android TV UI with 'Discover' tab that is included in the updated 'Android TV Home' and 'Android TV Core Services' app which will be activated via Google server when the times come. This is not Google TV.

Even Google released two type of Android 12 firmware for ADT-3. One is based on Android TV and another one is based on Google TV.
It is just matter of time when Google make it compulsory for OEM to use Google TV in future.

I don’t really care whether it’s Google TV or Android TV at the backend
as long as the Home Screen UI is Google TV, so to match with my new 50 C725….

Well actually you need to still care about it. Knowing the differences is important so that you'll understand better.

If only the UI you care then you can wait for the new Android TV Discover UI or forced it with VPN or install Google TV Home app and make it default launcher BUT this will only bring new UI and in some case it will not work properly without VPN. For real Google TV UX and features, you'll need TV with Google TV out of box.

C716 with V701 firmware.....just info...

Reflash my V701 (previous V682 IMG and V701 OTA => no Atmos),
with V677 IMG and update with V701 OTA...=> Atmos work in Netflix ! (no soundbar).

Just wondering, for those using C716, did you guys received OTA update? If yes, why did you manually updating the firmware? Just curious

Will be really nice to know who receive Auto update? ....
Maybe latest has been V606 ?
Nothing is on TCL server (Asia) for months......( I have access to auto update links...worldwide).
Only Latin America TCL server has Auto update link for V660, but TV must be from there (Project ID and Client Type).
