Hi all, looking to get 75" tv and have been checking lots of reviews on tcl. However their new models not available in MY. Any latest update whether tcl will bring the c825 or x925 models in? If yes when? Tried contacting tcl on fb but no reply.

Yea, 2021 models coming very slow (soon 2022 ... ). on TCLMalaysia web page still nothing long time.
On sale only P725 (not all sizes).
I doubt high end models will come here.

Thanks stasio for the input. P725 is not quantum dot right? Hence the c716 better than p725?

Sad if they don't ring in hugher end models. 2021 models have good chance to shift the tv market here...

I went to harvey norman recently and saw, the samsung qn85, qn90 (pricey!) ; sony x90j(good pic but sadly not mini led).... Also hisense uled u7g not bad.... Whats your take which models to go for 75 or 86"? My plan to buy sometime in Q1 2022 or before mid year...

i have a question i just bought tcl 716 and reached today ,
i just did a movie comparison with the TV APPS NETFLIX vs MY DESKTOP APP NETFLIX and the result DESKTOP 1 resolution is very bad , any idea why ? or isit because of the display card issue?

Is the Netflix shows only in HD? Or is it show 4K in Desktop app?

Playing dv content on Disney+ is abit sluggish. Anyway to alleviate this? Does firmware update solve it?
Is it safe update to that latest firmware stasio? I'm using 50" C716.

Definately, V606 ...you should update.
Did you check Auto update?
If nothing there,
I suggest to use V653 OTA zip file to update via "Local update" in setting.
All apps and data will remain.

Alright, done update. The tv UI ran smoothly now.

But still got stutter on Dolby Vision content on Disney+ though, just slightly reduced.
I'm guessing it's the Hotstar app that's being shitty because Netflix hdr contents stopped having this problem.

Is Disney+ or Disney+ Hotstar ?
Latest version for Disney+ Hotstar is 5.2.1 (Disney+ 2.3.1-rc4) and update others apps by Play Store or manually.
Asumed, internet connection is OK.

Tried flashing IMG using power button on my 65C716 but it gave an error and could not install.

Copied "update.img" on USB ? You Off TV first ?
Try other USB.
