I tagged dzariq's gearbox by just a tad during formation lap. My nose turned yellow in the LCD indicators. I started to understeered badly in the first few laps so i changed my style and adopted to my car condition. I selected not for my pit crew to repair the damage since im doing ok with it, enough to get dzariq at bay.
My start was Ok. I knew im about to lose my 2nd place to PCcrazy coz he will gain from following my back into turn 1. I dont want to make any defensive move and concentrated on the approach to turn 1 and come out of there alive.
Into turn 3, dzariq ran wide and i was closing in PCcrazy when i step on the throttle too early and nearly lost it. Lost one place to madnoren due to that.
PC retired and madnoren made a mistake when i was really closing in on him. From there i know it was between me and dzariq. I was abit relaxed when dzariq pitted first so i knew he must be on 2 pit stop strategy hence his race pace. My job was to drive as safe as i can and minimize the gap lost per lap to dzariq, since i know ive damaged my nose...and im heavy on fuel and my wearing soft tyres have to carry thru to lap 25 for my first pit stop.
Dzariq took back the lead from me but i managed to keep enough gap to get back the lead when he pitted. My tyres are wearing again and i was heavier compared to dzariq on fresh tyres and closing in. I just maintain the pace and with the gap and the remaining laps, i know even if dzariq keep up his pace, he wouldnt have enuf laps to close in on me. So i made him believe that he can by let him visibly see the gap is reducing and hopefully rush him into a mistake and with a little help from my teamate Acid too

He held him legally and let him go under blue flag brilliantly. Dzariq did make a mistake and the gap opens with 2 laps remaining, i just have to bring the car home.
