Not everything is labour law. Doubt MAS will employ without someone signing something that is beneficial to them. Also without money how to pay those 10-100 months retrenchment? It was a gesture during a time where they can afford 1 month per year of service as compensation. Some bank i believe even gave 1.5 or 2 months per year of service iirc.
Now that most company cant afford, they will just follow the law which is non existent for most of us who does not fall under the labor law.
