To flatten the so called curve to single digits takes a long long long time

2 weeks just for show only

Remember March it takes May to flatten rclxms.gif

3. For those who does in fact have to travel interstate, please head to the nearest police station or just go online for application of an official travel pass.

Back then, there were many more "unkowns", don't know how many people attended the Sri Petaling mosque event (2k initially reported, then 6k, then 12k, and finally about 16k. And don't know who they were and where they went... many go give talks in tabligh schools.

Now, most of the clusters have links to index cases with travel history to Sabah. It is a matter of speed in contact tracing them. Maybe, the numbers were underestimated, and/or the speed in contact tracing was overestimated.

Clusters where index cases have travel history to Sabah:

Kluster Setapak, KL.
Kluster Jln Apas, Selangor.
Kluster Bakawali, Johor.
Kluster Selasih, Putrajaya.
Kluster Sri Setia, Selangor.
Kluster Sri Anggerik, Selangor.
Kluster Bah Lunas, Kedah.
Kluster Bah Ketil, Kedah.
Kluster Bah Sintoh, Kedah
Kluster Bah Tanjung, Terengganu.
Kluster Bah Puchong, Selangor.
Kluster Bah Arnab, Sarawak
Kluster Bah Bangat, Labuan.
Kluster Bah Lada, Perak
Kluster Bah Sahabat, Terengganu
Kluster Bah Manggis, Selangor
Kluster Bah Bundle, Labuan.
Kluster Bah Perdana, KL
Kluster Bah Tropicana, Selangor
Kluster Bah Kasturi, Putrajaya.
Kluster Bah Kenangan, Selangor.
Kluster Bah Pengkalan, Perak.
Kluster Bah Pasir, Negeri Sembilan
Kluster Bah Bemban, Terengganu.

PETALING JAYA: Workers in the public and private sector in states under the conditional movement control order (CMCO) involved in management and supervision will be instructed to work from home from Oct 22 onwards, to reduce the number of workers at premises.

Meanwhile, all workers who have to be on-site for work are to undergo swab tests, with Socso to cover the costs for contributors.

Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this is in view of the rise in Covid-19 cases in the state and clusters involving workplaces, adding that this will affect some one million employees.

IMHO, the government needs to specify clearly which areas (either by postcode or other means) are the red zones.

Pardon if I missed out anything, but I read through the 4 pages in this thread... Still unsure - Can we travel from PJ/Selangor to KL, and vice versa?

To be more specific, between Batu Caves and Sunway Pyramid. Will I run into problem with roadblock?

I agree.
It should be applicable to the red zones only.
And yes, the government should be more specific in defining such areas and using postal codes is a good and clear way to avoid confusion. smile.gif

According to government SOP, you’re allowed to travel freely within KL, Selangor and Putrajaya for permitted activities, among which are, buying essential goods, for medical reasons and engaging in economic activities with supporting documents.

To a certain extent, the enforcement is given discretionary power to decide if your movement is permitted under the guideline.

From MKN FB:

8. Work From Home

• Special MKN conference today agree that workers for public sector and private workers are in management and supervision are not necessary to attend office and just work from home (Work From Home)

• MITI informs that almost 800,000 industrial sector workers from the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan, Selangor and Sabah will be involved in this order.

• This order will also involve as many as 200,000 public servants in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan, Selangor and Sabah

• There are exceptions to work processes that require existence in office such as the parts involved in financial affairs that make payments, management, enforcement and welfare.

• The employer is ordered to release a travel release letter for every staff who have to work in office during this period.

• MITI will release a media statement regarding this order soon.

• Workers who live in the red zone area need to do a swab test and if the employer asks for PERKESO, the cost will be covered.

• The implementation of this order will be effective starting October 22, 2020 until the implementation of PKPB in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan, Selangor and Sabah

Covid-19: Test the 30 Nepalis living with us and test us too, say Prima Bayu residents

The 30 men are all employees of a factory in Port Klang and were housemates and colleagues of 21 other Nepalis who have since tested positive for Covid-19.

Their employer had rented seven units in the apartments’ two blocks to house their 50-odd Nepali workers.

Red zones are defined as having more than 40 active cases. So basically, if want to EMCO just red zones, then some districts in Selangor will get hit and some wont. If they need to EMCO, this is the way it should be done, not blanket the whole state. And KL isn't a red zone, so hopefully it gets spared from further restrictions.

In an ideal world, they should just do away with the CMCO as a whole.

The situation is very fluid and changes can happen without notice.

'WFH an order, not a suggestion’

PUTRAJAYA: The government’s work from home directive, which will affect a million workers in the public and private sectors, is aimed at containing Covid-19 infections in areas placed under the conditional movement control order (mco), says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

To my understanding, from the above, KL, Selangor and Putrajaya are considered as one area by MKN.

As regards to the road closures, i’m guessing they’re closing those roads to the red zones.
