QUOTE(cho @ Nov 22 2020, 12:34 PM)
just received my Iphone 12 mini blue yesterday at SenHeng. Preordered on 12.11.

Coming from Samsung S10+ and an android user for almost 10 years before.

For almost 1 day usage, S10+ is still the best for multipurpose/multitasking device. The features I always used in S10+ but still not find in Iphone :-

1. Samsung Pay.  Apple has Apple Pay but still not usable in Malaysia isnt it? Any alternative?

2. Pin to Screen . Just screenshot a certain area on the screen and makes it always on top.

3. App pin. . * in iphone, they called it Guided Access

Anyhow I am very amazed with Apple FaceId. can unlock the phone even in complete darkness. Its very good. Night mode in camera also very good.

In IP12 , i can select max resolution 2160p in youtube but in S10+ only 1080p.

And for those who wonder, Ip12 mini is very nice to hold. Small and light. and typing is actually have no problem for big fat finger as me. 171cm with 90kg. Can even play Mobile Legend/PUBG in Ip12 mini with no problem.

Iphone 12 mini is very good as a true phone for call/texting/camera.

IP12 mini will be my main phone for now since the battery seems very good too. 50% from 10PM to 15% at 3AM . Downloading app, testing facetime, wemoji a bit, Mobile Legend ,PUBG, youtube and internet browsing. Mobile Legend and PUBG drain the battery.

Even though S10+ battery is bigger, but I believe IP12 mini last longer than S10+

in the image attached,  bottom is IP11 , with max brightness and night mode screen. Middle is IP12 mini  max brightness with Truetone enabled. Top is S10+ almost max brightness with video enhancer. S10+ screen looks much brighter.

editted my previous post. In Samsung, they called it App Pin. In iPhone, it is Guided Access. Same function.

indeed after using even iphone X for so long. will still find the mini is a bit too small. haha.

Ok havent given it a try. My last iphone was 5s before i switched to android. Moved from Mate 20x to 12 pro max. Mate 20x dwarves the 12 pro max big time. Now quite keen to get my hand on mini to test. Will find time to drop by Machine.

I dont want to disable it cuz i like the sound. But i remember now when and why it happen. Yesterday i tried my sis magsafe leather case, got that cool animation thingy. I notice since i tried that, the issue started to happen. Just now i reset my phone, now back to normal. I would stay away with magsafe for a while due to this issue. sweat.gif

And the battery won't last as good as the X according to the official stats.. So I'll probably skip the Mini after all biggrin.gif

The update mainly fixes the Lock Screen issue on the 12 Mini, you can skip it if there’s no issues on the 12. I’ve updated on my 12 Pro Max and noticed no untoward changes so far.

Why don't bring powerbank? I always bring because usually I'm out the whole day and can't risk my phone dying on me.

Yah, all these while..even when using android phones, no matter how large the mAH of the battery is, I'll also always bring a powerbank around with me. 😅
