QUOTE(bryvx @ Oct 30 2020, 04:37 PM) Errrm, Apple products not like Samsung bro, there's no best deal. Everywhere same price. Just choose where you're comfortable to get it from. bryvx liked this post

QUOTE(Area51SE @ Oct 30 2020, 03:52 PM) Those that bought / planning to buy those higher Watt charging bricks i.e. higher than 20W, the one sold officially by Apple, is it sure that if u buy anything higher, you will be able to get the maximum Watt supported by the phone? Because i saw some youtube reviewers where they tested using a Macbook charging brick but the phone ended up with only 10-12W. To be honest, no point intentionally going for all the fast charge option. The standard 5W charger is fine (or 10-15w) because you don't want the temperature of your phone to be too hot if it's fast charging because ultimately it'll lead to fast degradation of the battery health. Heat is biggest factor that causes early battery degradation and if you are obsessed with fast charge then you're going to have some bad news 6 months or 1 year down the road. |

If your old one works then I see no reason to change but if you want to buy the new one also can if you got the extra budget to splash. |

If you don’t always need to rush and charge up your phone quickly, it would in fact be better to be charging it with slower speeds. It would then help maintain your battery health better. Fast charging degrade your battery faster. And for those who like to charge overnight, all the more reason to use slower chargers. This post has been edited by PeeEl: Oct 30 2020, 05:08 PM |

Like shopback giving 2% cashback for apple store (never tried tho)tbh never thought of getting a phone with telco deal due to the stories I've heard, it being not worth it in the end/more expensive (overly priced monthly plans etc.). Kindly correct me if i'm wrong. Currently using GX38(rm35 umobile prepaid plan) |

You'd need a power brick that supports Power Delivery PD, ideally PD2.0 or PD3.0 not QC3.0 or QC4.0. If you're planning to use the 15W magsafe wireless charging, you'd have to pair it with Apple's latest 20W AC power brick or use with a certified PD3.0 power brick. |

Like shopback giving 2% cashback for apple store (never tried tho) It is only worth if you are using that data plan, if you a low data user, then no point of getting telco bundled set.tbh never thought of getting a phone with telco deal due to the stories I've heard, it being not worth it in the end/more expensive (overly priced monthly plans etc.). Kindly correct me if i'm wrong. Currently using GX38(rm35 umobile prepaid plan) However, if you are a heavy user and take Digi for example, Freedom 365 RM 190 plan gets you 200GB data and with RM 600 discount for 24 months, that's RM 165 per month and phone installment price. So, in long term it is actually cheaper. If you subscribe to standalone RM 190 plan, you only get 100GB. |

Hi all, is it true for iphone that's a mechanism inside iphone to cut off the battery charge after it is full?
ie overnight prolong charging of the battery will not deteriorate its health much compared to Android? |

QUOTE(junclj @ Oct 30 2020, 04:01 PM) I have one trouble now, the problem now is I am living alone in a house. I do not live with my family and we are living in different city. The problem now is cmco was extended to 9th November 2020, I am afraid that cmco will continue to extend from 10th November 2020 to 23rd November 2020. If I choose to deliver to my home address, I have 50% not at home if cmco not extend until 23rd November 2020. If I choose to deliver to office address, there have 50% of chance office closed for cmco extend. Common sense CMCO confirm extended due to the Happy Deepavali. The situation now is, iPhone 12 start pre-order at 6th November 2020 but cmco ended at 9th November 2020. If the government announce for extend cmco for 14 days at 8th November 2020, then I will be hailat already because I was set to deliver to my office address. If I assume that at 6th November 2020, 9pm the amount of covid-19 infections are still very high. There may have highly chance to extend cmco for 14 days more. So I will set to deliver to my home address. I assume that cmco will extend until 23rd November 2020. After 23rd November no more cmco and back to work. If UPS arrived after 23rd November, meaning that my phone will deliver to my home but the problem is I am not at home. So now, I was made a final decision. This is the only worst situation in case if cmco extend. I will choose to deliver to office address then keep follow up the tracking status, if UPS tracking is showing out for delivery during that day. I will go down to office to wait until the courier arrive. |

It is called Optimized Battery Charging feature under IOS 13 and later. Not sure if Android has it.ie overnight prolong charging of the battery will not deteriorate its health much compared to Android? |
