Hi guys. I'm thinking of signing up for Digi Fibre 300mbps for RM100, but Digi does not provide any warranty for modem and that concerns me a bit. Any user has any issues with modem provided by Digi so far?

QUOTE(kc902 @ Sep 14 2021, 10:02 PM) Hi guys. I'm thinking of signing up for Digi Fibre 300mbps for RM100, but Digi does not provide any warranty for modem and that concerns me a bit. Any user has any issues with modem provided by Digi so far? This is from TnC QUOTE Products, defects & warranty 1. Digi’s Equipment come with 12 months warranty. If within 12 months any of the Digi’s Equipment is defective we will replace the same at no charge to you PROVIDED ALWAYS THAT such defect damage is due to our fault and NOT due to your failure to adhere to our instructions or the instructions of the manufacturer.
2. If the BTU malfunctions due to your household's negligence, carelessness, or failure to adhere to our instructions, we may offer to replace the BTU at a charge of RM500. You will continue to be bound by the contract terms even if you do not opt to receive a Replacement BTU.
3. If the CPE is defective or is damaged (NOT due to your or your household's negligence, carelessness or failure to adhere to our or manufacturer's instructions) and such defect or damage occurs within one (1) year from the SAF and you are still subscribing to the Fibre Internet Service, then we will repair or replace the CPE at no charge to you. If the CPE is defective after the initial one (1) from the SAF, we may charge a repair / replacement fee of RM150. You will be charged a Fee of RM200 if a field Engineer is sent over to your residence and the conclusion is that the disruption in quality of service is caused by factors that are beyond Digi control.

But anything, u still have to contact Digi CS first, only they arrange TM technician. Of coz is on faulty or unit problem, not those negligence or human mistake QUOTE(syahpian @ Sep 14 2021, 10:19 PM) new digi promo Actually is there any 'new'? Beside so called 'stand a chance for free' and forcing u to get a Samsung monitor. Seems nothing 'new' is worth

My house recently got Unifi, but still under trial period. Before this tried few times contact Digi, but they keep saying that their service cannot reach my house. Surely if my house have TM fibre, now Digi will have no problem saying my house cannot have Digi fibre?
I'm don't like Unifi offering, extra RM100 for Unifi TV that people in this house don't use.

TM area got unifi does not mean your area are covered by DIGI fiber. first you need to check that Digi got cover your area or not? if yes there is no issue you can get digi at your area.

Go google or look for FB ads, those Fibre/Internet agent, usually they handle all ISP, thats y they can go through such lubang to help out. Since ur street name appear in the Digi Coverage Finder, i suppose those agent will be able to settle it. U can go the harsh method, report to MCMC but dont think it works, probably and guessed, u will get official answer - please wait and we will check out.

Even if you got valid issue to complain at mcmc, its rarely get solved as you hoped if it not involves bill dispute. I made mcmc complain about my house unjustly not covered by fiber while every house around me has been serviced for year. This complain was made after long months and countless complain made to TM by various channels. Well sure, the complain received; but they can put the progress as "under investigation" indefinitely. Technically they did something and responded to your mcmc report. But in reality nothing is done.

I was really close to switching from Unifi to Digi fibre because of the cost for 300Mbps. Im very happy with my digi mobile service, so the package promo was very attractive.
unitl the technical team told me they only give private IP, no public IP. Not even public ipv6. So I had to say thanks but no thanks.
Now I read some of the other complaints Im glad i stayed with Unifi. Want to upgrade to 300mbps but the price aint worth it. I wish we had Time fibre, I really miss them since i moved from condo to a landed property

Purely on pricing alone, for 30mbps go with Celcom Fibre, RM80 monthly. If you don't need to setup CCTV or use public IP, then can go for Digi 50mbps.
