Dinner in Bangkok on Thursday night (25th October 2007)

Hey, who's going to be in Bangkok on Thursday afternoon / evening? If you are, let's meet up for steamboat dinner, I know some cheap, wickedly-good places in town from the times I used to do some consulting work in Bangkok.

Those who are going, PM me, and let's see how we can meet up.

Keep seeing this... Sulfur Elemental is not a good anti white-weenie card  smile.gif  It wasn't a good anti white-weenie card during Time Spiral Block Constructed, and it still won't be  smile.gif

Last week, there were a few kithkin+anthem decks, and they beat all the sulfur elemental decks. Cos 1 Sulfur is hopeless. and 2 Sulfur is hopeless, when 1 Anthem is in play...

Some more got first strike, lifelink kithkin. With sulfur elemental, these first strike, lifelink kithkin become even better!

What's good is Damnation, Wrath of God, Teferi's Moat, etc. against these kithkin + anthem decks.

sulfur ? I just need 1 sunlace kao-tim edi lar laugh.gif

the global remover are still the advantage there, but what if the champion tech come out ?

How many release parties are going on this weekend? Does anyone know if there are Friday release parties?

Manawerx & CC DJ - Saturday afternoon release party
CC Subang - Sunday morning release party

What about Summit USJ (shop still in operation?) and Central? Will they be holding release parties too?

If 7Chai go to Armada, sure got "release" party rclxms.gif

Anyway, Summit USJ might have one on Friday evening / Saturday afternoon. Last time they did one on a Friday. I notice from DCI tournaments page that they registered for a release party on Saturday.

it's the best, apart from the one next to Berjaya Times Square, which is probably the best of all.

definitely, outside kl, it's the best.

that's why 7chai always so refreshed-looking. every day, stress, go armada. no wonder he is smiling so much all the time biggrin.gif

lol...
for kithklins i used pyroclasm...
a well timed one would wipe out their ground forces...

try time s your removals...
i normally hold a dmanation with a terror or shriek in my hand before wiping out his board (i'm a teachings controller so i dun have creatures)

I have got the Champ Faeries for sale.

But quite frankly, I don't recommend them. Holi^one pointed out the flaws the other day at Manawerx too. It's just a win-more card, doesn't really do much, and costs too much for the effect.

Maybe it's good in sealed...

As for Kithkins, kill gaddock, then kill everything =)

Best weenie deck...

what is it? Goblins? Kithkin? Merfolk? Faerie? Giant (technically, not weenie)? Treefolk (also, technically, not weenie).

What do you guys think is the best weenie / treefolk deck? Share, please.

Also to fulfill holi^one's reminder that this is an MTG forum =)

i would say for weenie it is kithklin...
but i believe goblins are the best aggro deck except it is still unexplored yet...

from my testing treefol deck are really scary...
treefolk deck would be playing BWG (for doran duh)...
white for oblivion ring and of course crib swam (tutorable via the harbinger)...
throw in the green planeswalker as i died countless times thanks to its overrun ability T.T
i didnt explore it much but the treefolk deck i lost to also plays goyf and mystic enforcer...

Hmmm.... I think the best is merfolk.

Shall we have a tribal deck competition? We have a tribal deck competition, maybe 8 tribal decks in all. Everyone contribute 10 sen, winner take all (which is 80 sen, enough for 1 roti canai haha).

What kind of rules... at least 30 cards in the deck must belong to one tribe? (i.e. must have tribe name or changeling on it).

Free to proxy...

For the fun of it, shall we? =) We can challenge on Saturday morning!!! =)

p.s. the BWG deck you are describing seems more like a rock-style deck, Doran, Goyf, Etc.
