my opinion:

camera:
original driver 2.5 is still the most stable version among all the modded camdriver. this latest firmware, increase the FOCUS speed, and faster photo saving.

acoustic:
hehe, i tried many many modded sound driver (zapf, peter, megabass, w880 850mix and more), none of them satisfying me except this R8BA024 ori acoustic, maybe the volume is not louder than the modded 1, but it promises a clearer sound and louder compare to older FW version.

I'm still using ori accoustic too, since those modded didnt satisfied me, what bout R8BA024 headset volume? I hope they didnt change cause I prefer the volume that I am using now in R1JG001.

Btw u update through SEUS? Mind to share that accoustic?

R8BA024 not yet available on SEUS.

dude, didnt u try peter's acoustic? is really kicking if u listen with earphone. for loud ringtone, try to change the farfield files with original w880i. u will love it.

peter headset is good? i get used to the ori one with stereo widening, if its good, then i will use it......describe how good pls

That's so slow, hoping to get the firmware update asap. I wonder why it is taking forever via SEUS.

i tried peter's b4,

1 i can fell tht my speaker almost break even i set 5-block of ringing volume, so loud, but the sound quality not tht good, seems like the author purposely set the dB level more than +5.

2 when i use headphone to talk, the voice is too sharp, jz like u set too much treble.. haha

these are the 2 main things make me decide to change..


there are too many alternative on the internet, i tried 1 by 1, even modify some acoustic file taken from my w800i.


but at last, i feel tht original acoustic of R8BA024 satisfying me the most,

1 although the loudspeaker volume is not louder than those mod, the sound quaility remain,

2 the volume also slightly higher than older firmware's acoustic.

3 the bass in player only "so so", but i dont care, cuz i still hv 1 w800i, to enjoy real MEGABASS..

if u use masterjp acoustic (se-nse forum, search it), they already stated what equalizer u should set too. and it is really loud for backspeaker!

if u use peter's acoustic, the only u need to change is farfield file. try look farfield file of original w880i, and replace it! i can confirm that both quality (backspeaker and headset) is superb. give it try! if u need the file, request here, i try to share or simply add me in ur ym. maybe we can make modders community XD

oh, nvm, those acoustic files i can extract from w880's FS.

i remember last time i replace some "PHF_x_play.apf" file from my w800i,
( PHF should be Protable Handsfree short form. )
this improve the BASS feel while using headset(i use original 1)..

never try farfield b4, maybe later will try.


i also tried 1 acoustic call "JPx", dono is the same with the 1 masterjp or not..


i dont hv YM, n my hostel block all IM (msn too)..

I haven't update my firmware before since the first day I get my phone. SEUS just won't work on my computer, lol.

maybe u dont hv the FLASH driver install properly. try again.

yup, JPx is made by masterjp. really loud right?

remove SEUS, then install flash properly. re-install back SEUS

Do you have any guide for flash it to APAC region firmware thingy?

JPx too loud, 4 block of volume start to feel some noise, so i seek for a better driver that give clearer voice. haha

I better stick with R8, i tried Peter's v2 and the quality isnt there and the loudness is increased by a little. I still prefer R8

w880i ori farfield has too much treble, it sounds perfect in w880 but not really good in k800 due to the different of speaker

Yeah yeah, common answer while I have no idea where to start from even I have the keyword. Yeah sure you could ask me to google all those but at least give me a clearer description. If you don't want to help then it's fine with me. zzz just hate the people keep asking to google yeah I know the google can help us to find answer but at least provide a more clearer guide to start with...
