I'm planning to get the SR605 to pair with my PS3 but I'm not sure which speaker to use. Any suggestion? Prefer 5.1 or 7.1 type of speaker set. Budget around RM2k.

QUOTE(JiauBoy @ Jan 14 2008, 03:40 PM) one thing abt this audiophile tingy is u dont feel much diffrent when u r listening to the decent one is u r not really into it. Yeah, I know what you mean. The sale guys played the same source with 2 different setup. One with the cheapo htib and the other with a decent speaker set like Jamo, you can hear the differences. But compare decent speaker set like Jamo, Whaferdale, Mordaunt Short etc...cannot differentiate leh....but when u used to the 'decent' one and go back to those 'normal'.... u can really feel the diffrenttt.... u knw what i mean? it happens to me Added on January 14, 2008, 3:54 pm QUOTE(rx330 @ Jan 14 2008, 03:32 PM) I went to Harvey Norman in Pavillion to see. Aiyoh...the more I hear the more confused I get. I thought I already made up my mind on 605 but now don't know already.......
Anyway, I found 1 set of Wharerdale Cyrstal (CR40x2, WH2 center and surround) for RM1680. Quite a good buy but not sure if can match the 605 or not because the shop only have Denon. This price is almost same like the Jamo 606. Another choice will be the Mordaunt Short Carnival 9 for RM2500. Which one will you go for? |

QUOTE(skodeng @ Apr 15 2008, 06:23 AM) Ya you are right. Checked with the US supplier here and said that it need to use the transformer. Some people said adding step down transformer will add more noise to the signal. That's why some people buy those filter to reduce the noise. Now, does this pose a problem - i mean if i were to buy it from US and then use the step down transformer, it will be just as good right ? or will there be a difference in sound quality or any other issues that i should be aware of? Any input will be appreciated, as i am very much a newbie, as u can tell. |
