QUOTE(s6xs9x @ Aug 13 2008, 11:00 PM) onkyo owners, Yes, 606 can handle 4 ohm. I have this AVR. I'm not sure of the price in KL as I bought in Singapore for S$730. I think in KL maybe around RM2800I saw the 606 are able to handle speaker impedance of 4ohms (stated in the spec leaflet) Will my Pioneer HTiB speakers work with the 606? Please confirm. And what is the best price for the 606? I'm in KL Thanks |

QUOTE(plugtop @ Jan 9 2009, 12:25 PM) hi frend...im new here and im totally noob regarding HT...need some confirmation here.... Yes, can but don't expect mirage. There is slight improvement only. If you expect the Astro picture quality will look like bluray after upscale, you will be disappointed."Video upscaling is all the rage in AVRs today, and the 606 can upscale all analog video signals to 1080i, regardless of the connection, for output via HDMI. When fed a 1080p/60 or 1080p/24 signal, the Onkyo passes it unmolested, which isn't the case with some AVRs on the market. Faroudja's DCDi Edge technology provides the deinterlacing. " from http://www.guidetohometheater.com/avreceiv...k606/index.html does it meen 606 can upscale 480p to 1080i??? |

QUOTE(rakyat @ Jan 9 2009, 04:54 PM) That was part 1, part 2 I told her no good coz 'cap ayam' cables. In order to fully realize the potential of FullHD need branded HDMI 1.3 cables, bought and pasang oredi..... no difference!!! So to make her happy must pay fr her visit to the saloon Ha ha ha...sori lah...u never asked mah....Anyway u get your AVR approve right? But then thats my experience, there r many ppl who swear only by switching to M***ter cable the Astro become HD Added on January 9, 2009, 6:24 pm QUOTE(Stamp @ Jan 9 2009, 05:20 PM) Buy in Singapore lah....much more cheaper than here...This post has been edited by yfyap69: Jan 9 2009, 06:24 PM |

If you purposely go down to buy maybe not worth it. For me, I bought it during one of my business trip. Instead of flying down, I drove down. By the way, round trip from Changi to Sim Lim square no need RM250. S$50 should be enough.
