build - Does samsung has the best built for smartphones? Back then? Now? In the early smartphone era, Nokia is the undisputed built quality king, followed by HTC with their metal/polycarbonate unibody; there after, whole smartphone industry eventually regressed to learn/imitate Apple. We see the evolution from removable battery plastic phone to metal built and ultimately to the glass (or plastic) sandwich phones we see in the market nowadays. I will give Xiaomi a special credit here for trying with novelties like ceramic body or slider phone in this glass-sandwich era, sadly they didn't maintain the efforts afterwards.

display quality - agreed. they're the pioneer and main player in making AMOLED display, gotta give them credit for that

functionality - almost every brands have their own unique functionality advantages, it depends on what exactly you're looking for, certainly can't say samsung win it all here

spen - agreed. no other manufacturers tried to compete in this league, leaving samsung the undisputed (sole) winner here

ultrasonic fp scanner - it's qualcomn's tech and nothing to shout about; still less reliable than conventional capacitive reader and at times still performing worse than optical one found on most other phones

punch hole technology - IIRC, SHARP is the one that pioneered this (nonsense) notch stuff; and I seriously hated it because of that (and apple) we need to settle for notch/punchhole on phones until a new solution to implement selfie cam under display came out (recently xiaomi claimed their tech is almost there and ready for the market soon, let's wait and see if it's true)

weight control - ???

9 in 1 pixel binning - yeah, they're the pioneer of this tech with their 108MP sensors, but sony still the undisputed king of mobile photography

3 years OS upgrades - +1 for them for making it clear upfront they will push for 3 years of OS upgrades; though competitor brands also typically having 2 years of OS upgrades and some additional security updates afterwards; and let's not forget about the platinum standard of the industry - APPLE; alternatively Android One phones easily came with 3 years of updates too IINM.

DEX - agreed, IIRC they're the first one whom pushed for this and kudos to them to continue improvising on it every year after

Samsung Pay - they done it after Apple launched their Apple Pay...
