After trying it out for awhile, there's few things to say
1. Nvidia basically ignored adobe and pretty much ditched it. Resolve works so well and scale with rtx cards 2. There's no subscription and it's a lifelong free upgrade once bought for resolve The noise reduction is unbelievable Cannot turn back now |

Which part of Resolve you use that it actually makes use of RTX cards? As for Adobe Premiere Pro, what I found is when I set Hardware Acceleration, even with a GTX 1650 it outperforms the Ryzen 7 3700X by far. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Sep 20 2020, 11:51 PM) Can you elaborate on this part? Apparently it can use tensor cores for ai, apart from the fact it is very well optimised for cuda cores. It has native and also nvidia for encoding and the master h265 has nvidia encoding only iinm, else is cpu encoding.Which part of Resolve you use that it actually makes use of RTX cards? As for Adobe Premiere Pro, what I found is when I set Hardware Acceleration, even with a GTX 1650 it outperforms the Ryzen 7 3700X by far. Issue with premiere, it doesn't scale with better nvidia cards. It's stuck with one nvenc core whether it's base 1660 to 2080ti or even certain quadro cards. Resolve scale proportionally with cuda counts on the card Here's the part it mentions about ai and rtx Edit The benchmark test can be found on puget systems for both premiere and resolve ![]() Negligible improvement with 3080 on premiere ![]() ![]() Only dual 2080ti better than 3080 ![]() This post has been edited by sakuraboo: Sep 21 2020, 11:22 AM |

Also, another thing is from what I've seen so far is people say that it's only in the Studio version where you get to use GPU.I haven't used the Studio version. |

QUOTE(sakuraboo @ Sep 21 2020, 12:44 PM) I think it's good deal on the long run My video workflow uses very little GPU. If your work uses all this a lot, then definitely worth spending. |

Some areas of DaVinci Resolve can leave inexperienced users feeling a bit handicapped. Multiple user sign-ins can be confusing, and determining where to place the database of users might need troubleshooting. And for such novices I would totally recommend movavi.com. It’s an easy video editor with a lot of tools which are easy to use. Just try it.

I have tried Davinci Resolve 14 since it is free; it has so many features that were useful. It works fine with my Core i7-5500U 16GB RAM HP ZBook 14 G2 running AMD FirePro M4150 in the Performance Mode.
One of the third-party plugins you can add is FXHome Ignite Pro https://fxhome.com/ However, FXHome also has its own powerful HitFilm Pro application. This post has been edited by eclectice: Jan 18 2021, 07:47 AM |

It’s an easy video editor with a lot of tools which are easy to use. Just try it. Resolve has a higher learning curve for beginners and a very deep feature set. I would encourage users to start slowly from the editing page then expand to the colour page. Fusion and fairlight pages are for more advanced users. There is also a heavier gfx card requirement. I recommend at least a 4gb vram card. However once learned it will be very rewarding. I use the studio paid version with a dongle and I have never needed to pay for anything more. It was $299 usd one time payment forever. From version 9 to version 16. I am a professional colourist and a video editor and I use both. |
