Can we get cashback every month if we purchase using installment plan? ex. installment from Samsung online.
*
I belief the answer is NO... as installment will not entitle cashback... unless some banks or deals do entitle CB when the transaction take place (month 1)...

no general banking app* from affin

use affinalways internet banking portal (web)

*they have other apps, eg Aladdin or SMEcolony (iinm), but those are segment-specific app, not a general banking app like M2U or Clicks, etc

Affin rejected my application for their duo card today.. Lol. So unexpected..
I don't owe banks or credit cards, I have existing cards, and my salary is way above the minimum, only have car loan very low commitment..
What could be the possible issue ah?

Check your ccris, normally they based on the ccris details and your ctos score

for ccris, you can check at here which is free.
https://eccris.bnm.gov.my

Sometimes your ccris too clean they unable to check your repayment habit.

Maybe because you got 3-4 cards, not really sure.
Things to check
1. repayment history, since you mentioned all 0 should be okay
2. any special attention case (especially you change mobile network and the previous one actually haven't settle)
3. your cc outstandaing balance, they macam gt check your spending habit too. (not too sure)

or maybe you applied before? (within 180days?)

maybe someone working in bank field can explain more

also depends on ur occupation. few years back oil & gas employees were classified as high risk although before that was very lucrative.

Not sure what issue the bank has seen.
My experience is:
Years ago I got rejected because I had high owings in balance transfers and cash-on-call from various banks, at that time was maximising all my card limits.
For Affin Bank, they compare monthly income against a certain percentage of total bank owings of cards, loans, overdrafts etc. as reported in the CCRIS of the last month end. That is to check our income/commitment percentage. Below a specific %, application will be rejected.
I was told to reduce my card owings which I did over the next 2 - 3 months instead of rolling over in BTs. Over the period I reduced my owing by RM50k.
After that I reapplied and this time got it approved.

Can someone enlighten me why I'm only getting RM5.86 cashback? I have a Google Sheets to calculate my cashback & it's been accurate when I used to spend minimum RM3080 to get max cashback but somehow this is the first I'm getting cashback that's way below my calculated return.

EDIT: OK, if I were to remove the GrabPay & TnG eWallet, my cashback is exactly RM5.86. eWallets are still giving cashback max at RM30 right?

Ahh... I thought as long as the transaction lines appear before the cashback, it means that said transactions made it into the cashback calculation. doh.gif

With that being said, does that mean that they'll be brought forward to the following month? As in I just need to spend ~RM200 for the RM30 cashback?
