I'll just take my lesson that Affin don't double confirm EIP ba, appreciate the advice! Probably can use the cash flow to mitigate some of the losses somehow anyway...

If we're to cancel a cr card that being charged SSt, will we be able to cancel it? I remeber that SST is paid for the future used and since I do not have any amount charged will I be able to cancel it without paying the SST?

There are multiple 'sources' for fraud transaction. One of which is data leak. Another is random (or sequential) try-and-see fraud.

Just because 'kept in drawer and never use' can kena doesn't mean every fraud case is unrelated to data leakage.

country of scam? the address is Cyrus (+357), but the phone no +441 is belong to another country - Bermuda.

maybe is a new type of scam, there just do this for all card detail they obtain, by keep posting usd 1. some people really dont care for transaction usd 1.

Got unauthorized charges from westplaystore NL today. Anyone else got this also? Seems there is massive wave of fraud transaction happening at Affin in the last week

How to prove your problem is caused by ipay88? Not another source?
Look at your card running number, you can find out the subsequent card numbers and the expiry date is same or +1 month. It is not difficult to figure out the first 9999 Affin Duo Visa card number (X-XXX) and the card holder name.
4658-****-000X-XXX*.

usually bank giving 1-2 days grace period after the due date.
and most of the bank will give waiver upon request after review the card holder is a good payment master

SI not working could be the good reason to ask for waiver.
For the first time request with the strong reason, they will approve it

Affin got sms inform service? i have not receive it
Perhaps tmr make another call to try it using NOT receive sms reminder as a reason

they can penalize ipay88, monetary fine or suspension of service (unlikely due to direct impact to ipay88's ecommerce merchants), obviously they want ipay88 to conduct extensive analysis, reports, mitigation plans, security imprvements, etc

yep, all these wont stop the ongoing frauds. they cant put the devil  back into the pandora's box

another costly approach, is to replace all affected cards which has historical usage thru ipay88 for the past year or so. banks wont be happy with it (unless they can pass these costs to ipay88!) because it would utilize their cards inventory, internal costs to manage customer calls, reprinting cards, delivery cost, etc etc

also, replacing affected cards wont fix 100% either because fraudsters would just run a number generator to bombard other unaffected cards too. example, if fraudster noticed a lot of leaked affin's 4658 85xx xxxx xxxy card series, they would just run the generator for every single numbers instead.

their cb is not exactly the best but the most flexible since most banks don't allow cb for e wallet top ups anymore

reported on 16/08/22 and got the card last friday, so yeah, might take some time due to overwhelming.. fraud report.. 

mine fraud transaction since Aug till now still no reverse yet. Hais...PBB also get fraud transaction almost 2weeks still not update.
IPAY make lot of trouble for card holders...

CS will tell you need to activate the card

But the actual fact is, never activate, there will be zero SST, zero annual fees.
