QUOTE(xpole @ May 6 2021, 11:11 AM) Guys, So technically can only cancel one card? If you plan to cancel this credit card, make sure you mentioned to cancel both of the cards, which is Rewards and Cashback card. I've requested to cancel this card early this month, and they only CANCEL ONE CARD only which is the Cashback card. In the first place, I checked the online portal and I saw 1 credit card still active. When I called back the customer service, the credit card dept just cancel 1 card only. The rewards card they didn't cancel I requested again to cancel the other card. and I have to wait another 7 working days for them to cancel the card. Unbelievable. Like this I wanna cancel the Rewards card. |

QUOTE(propusers @ May 11 2021, 04:15 PM) for affin duo + great eastern, if I set auto debit via great eastern e-Connect website, will I get the cash back? my concern is whether Affin will treat it as auto billing or not. Yes, I did it and get my cash back. I'm already using auto-debit since day 1 but I always use e-Connect website to change the auto-debit credit card, now I'm using Affin. |

I noticed I haven't been using my Duo that much in the recent statement cycle. I saw posts mentioning spend RM 1667 and get RM 50 right? Still not too bad. Otherwise, which card still gives cash back for insurance auto-debit besides SCB JOP or MBB FCB VS? Looks like I have no other option but to stick with Duo for insurance auto-debit. QUOTE(Human Nature @ May 18 2021, 10:33 AM) I am sticking to Duo for insurance auto-debit, FCB VS 1% just can't beat it. The RM50 cap for the <3000 is sufficient for my usage. Same here but minimum usage is RM 1667 to get RM 50 right? If lower than that no cash back, correct? My auto-debit is very little amount only and yeah FCB VS just can't beat it so I have cancelled it last month. |

Guys, gonna ask this so I got CIP and every month paying RM 2.5k for that, my spending is not as much as in the past... I have insurance RM 300 as well, so I should have RM 2.8k in the statement for these few months until CIP finishes. I need to spend another RM 200 and can get RM 15 cash back?
After CIP finishes, so I will have only this insurance RM 300 as balance, can I still get RM 9? |

After using GE insurance for years and this month is the first time that I received SMS about auto-debit is unsuccessful. I have changed to Affin few months ago and no issue all this while. May I know if anyone has similar experience before? In such situation, should I check with GE or Affin?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jul 23 2021, 09:55 AM) both parties affin - check why the attempt to charge failed. ge - get the agent to checked the fail reasons captured from their system failed to charge could be few reasons: 1) card expired -- unlikely for Affin Duo, for now 2) insufficient credit limit? 3) card terminated, but not updated in GE system -- i guess unlikely for you since you've been using it for months now 4) you requested swap card, but not updated in GE system -- did you recently change cc autobilling for GE? from my experience, changing cc autobilling will take few days to take effect, GE agent recommend dont update when you're near charging date QUOTE(maxwongsauwei @ Jul 23 2021, 09:57 AM) met once, pay manually on the GE page, nx month ok balik. I managed to call Affin and I was told the attempt was yesterday's 6.00 a.m. and coincidentally they were having maintenance at that time so it couldn't capture it.Ask my agent and she mentioned was system update and error while charge to our card. Perhaps you can ask ask your agent n c? Also got my agent to advise, he said it is normal as he also encountered before. In the SMS, it mentioned that it will re-attempt again on 31st July. He said, GE will do it, so no worries. Only if 31st still having issue, then he will help me. Thanks for the advice. cybpsych and maxwongsauwei liked this post
