FnF+ is only meant for 2 frequent called numbers (other operator) and there's a monthly subscription fee of RM 3 or 5 (cannot remember).

Is there a network problem with DiGi or with CS? I tried to make get assistance from CS and have make 2 calls but somehow, I got disconnected after few lines of talking to the CSO/E. The signal strength at my room is 4 to full bars. What's happening here? I'm getting frustated to give another try since calling CS is very annoying with the announcement.

DiGi and TDC to sign definitive accord on 3G spectrum
PETALING JAYA: DiGi.Com Bhd will sign today a definitive agreement with Time dotCom Bhd (TDC) to cement an earlier forged alliance on the transfer of the latter's 3G spectrum. The signing of the accord between the two companies, which requested a suspension in the trading of their shares today, would be witnessed by Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Lim Keng Yaik. In mid-November last year, DiGi and TDC forged an alliance under which DiGi would buy the spectrum from TDC and place a RM50mil guarantee with the Government. Under the alliance, DiGi would work hand-in-hand with TDC to develop broadband, especially last-mile connectivity, cross-sell each other's products, train and provide expertise so that the two companies can compete more effectively as a team. In a statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, DiGi said it intended to make a material announcement in relation to the proposed transfer of the 3G spectrum by TDC and the proposed joint business planning exercise involving both companies. There is no denying that DiGi would in the longer term need the spectrum to offer a wider range of services, given that its rivals Maxis Communications Bhd and Celcom (M) Bhd have their own 3G spectrums that allow them to create more sophisticated offerings. DiGi has said that with the spectrum in its hands, the company would maximise its usage and offer a host of services and new products. In exchange for the spectrum, DiGi has allocated a 3.5% stake in the company to TDC while latter has bought more shares, bringing its stake in DiGi to 10%. TDC purchased the additional shares in DiGi from Telenor ASA, which has reduced its stake in DiGi to 49% from 61% to meet the foreign shareholding spread allowed in a local telco. Shares in DiGi, which were actively traded yesterday, gained 50 sen to RM23.10, finishing among the day's top gainers. TDC shares were up marginally by one sen to 67.5 sen. QUOTE(DigitalKL @ Feb 15 2008, 09:01 PM) You meant that you want to switch from DiGi to Happy? If you meant that, it's not possible to do so. Happy and DiGi are seperate entities even though they're sharing the same infrastructure. Maybe the change in DiGi top management could turn things from impossible to possible. Who knows ... |

DiGi's D'podCast to offer Bollywood content
SHAH ALAM: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd will offer the latest entertainment and news content from Bollywood to subscribers of its mobile podcasts - D'podCast - from March. Head of product development and management Albern Murty said he believed that Bollywood content would appeal to everyone. "There is no segment bias in our target market," he said after witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding between DiGi's D'PodCast partner Stanton Technologies and TIME Broadband Services Pte Ltd (TBSPL) to deliver the content via D'PodCast yesterday. In the agreement, India-based TBSPL would source content from top Bollywood studios while Stanton would contribute its rights to Internet Protocol Television to deliver the content over D'PodCast. With the agreement, subscribers would have access to an additional 120 to 150 video and audio podcasts, Murty said. D'podCast, which was launched in October last year, offers a selection of 300 video and audio contents from categories of entertainment, lifestyle, drama and "mobisodes" - customised short mobile episodes reproduced for its subscribers. DiGi had been working with Stanton to offer mobile content to DiGi customers through DiGi's High Speed Mobile Network, said Murty. Stanton yesterday also formed a 50:50 joint-venture company with TBSPL called Stanton TIME Broadband Pte Ltd in Singapore to offer technology and marketing of digital media solutions to telcos. "We hope to tap into the South Asia and European markets when the time is right," saidTBSPL managing director and chief executive director Sujata Dev. The joint-venture company was in talks with Middle Eastern as well as local telcos to offer digital media delivery solutions, she said, adding that the venture with Stanton was TBSPL's first partnership outside India. DiGi gets go ahead for transfer of TDC's 3G spectrum
KUALA LUMPUR: DiGi.Com Bhd (DiGi) has received Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) approval for the proposed transfer of Time dotCom Bhd's (TDC) 3G spectrum to DiGi. The company told Bursa Malaysia yesterday the approval was subject to payment by TDC's wholly owned subsidiary, TT dotCom Sdn Bhd, for the penalty imposed due to non-compliance of its detailed business plan. It was also subject to MCMC's acceptance of DiGi's RM50mil irrevocable bank guarantee for the balance duration of the spectrum assignment period, it added. In a statement yesterday, chief executive officer Morten Lundal said: "We welcome the approval and look forward to proceeding with our business plan for mobile broadband once all other approvals are obtained." In a separate filing with Bursa yesterday, DiGi said it had received an extension of time to June 30 from the Energy, Water and Communications Ministry to comply with the equity conditions of its licences. It said the extension also applied to the deadline for Telenor Asia Pte Ltd to reduce its equity interest in DiGi to 49%. URL: http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...04&sec=business |
