Anyone having issue with Android Auto?

I cleared the cache and storage of the app and now it no longer connects but other phones is still able to connect. I'm on Android 9 tho. I've tried a lot of things and none work so far. The only thing i haven't tried is factory reset the phone and upgrade to latest Android 11.

Edit: Found a temporary work around. Create a new user profile.

android auto is damn buggy. I used a brand new cable, sometimes picking up my phone will cause the android auto to disconnect ( I am using Samsung S20+).

Then I use my iphone for Apple Carplay, using the infamous Apple original cable that can spoil easily, I never have problem disconnecting while picking the phone. doh.gif

I own a 2018 GM6 V spec. My next car too will be a Yaris/Cross/Altis or even a 4WD pick-up. I won't even consider the City or Civic.

The only reason I got my GM6 instead of Vios is during that time the sampan version did not have 6 airbags.

my next car is either Civic or City ... never like Toyota car....

And if you noticed, hardly any reviewers touch on this (no pun intended) when they review the rear legroom.

You keep seeing it on fb while there is no solution to it which makes buyers worry. But I see someone saying that it is a problem for Vios too as the supplier is the same. How true I dont know.
We only see a few on fb complaining but how many are facing the issue but didn't post on social media? some of it happened weeks after purchase and some happened months after.
So if you see it frequent enough on fb you would think as a purchaser would you be at risk of it and if you can live with it if you are such a "lucky" person.

For me I decided to risk it. Close my eyes and pray to GOD.

RS is actually a good car. Don't look at the paper only or get hyped with torque. It's more to family car and with hybrid, you can save a lot on petrol in urban city.
RS handling is better than the normal petrol version. The back passenger spacious is good.

After sales, i had to say i am not satisfied. It's not the engineer skills, but more to their management. City model, not that many issue from what I heard.
It also depends on SC. If you know someone there, then you're good to go. Go with Honda.

I prefer the design on City but that's a personal preference.

I bought City cos it is using the new engine and body compared to Toyota.

FYI, I went to Toyota sales dept, nobody entertain me at all. I got annoyed and left. I guess they reached their quota.
I called Nissan, booked test drive and went to Nissan but the test car was in services, unable to test and i noticed the management has this mindset of cost cutting.
That's why i ended up with Honda instead.

Apart from that, IMO RS is expensive and top up a bit, you can get civic 1.8 but for a family car, RS is way to go.

Actually, mine also disconnected but only when you touch the cable. So have to reseat the cable again. Different cable and original cable the same. That's why i hid and manage the cable so nobody can touch it.

I understand what you mean by the armrset part. The actual issue is that the armrest was placed way behind. They didn't mentioned the groin part unless they sit as the back passenger. Some people don't rest their arm when driving. I saw 1 review which they did mentioned armrest was too behind so need to buy accessories to counter it.

Hi guys, currently i am considering to get V-Sensing, after reading a lot of FB post on City 2020 Group, does steering rack issue with kuk kuk sound is serious issue? will it impact driving experience? VIOS is not an option for me, i try to stretch my budget for HR-V, but HR-V is due for latest model, which probably I cannot afford.

I wasn’t aware the new City has steering rack issue… I thought the problem is limited to Civic FC only… I’ve got my City for over a year now, no issue so far, albeit angry with Honda launching V-Sensing so bloody soon…

If you refer to those who having problem, kuk kuk sound only noticeable when the car is stationary and it not impact on driving experience. As far as i know only certain user from certain batch having this issue.

There are some user from my ehev group also having this problem but not many.
Out of 60+ member, only 2 user having issue with steering rack, claim warranty, settle.

Vios has been using the same platform/chassis since 2003. The interior space is the same so are the seats. Inside is even tighter than a Myvi. No left foot rest, no telescopic steering wheel (how to adjust a comfortable sitting position ?). You are seated so near to the window and A pillar. Really cannot.

Not only that Bro, in Telegram the same thing happens. Anything about Honda is all bad even without checking the new product not even launched yet already said bad. Only singing praises to one particular brand you know which I am talking about. Even the journalist is very biased to this whole saga. Talk about being neutral, hmm. Cheers.
