So, I actually cancelled my earlier booking (personal reasons) but now want to make a new booking. The same SA told me it's 6 months waiting period sweat.gif

Any dealer to recommend that has less waiting time?

Flagship variant, snow white.

Thanks!

Nope. Because the system will automatically start your engine first before starting the aircon (therefore not putting too much strain on the battery and starter). Besides, the user manual also never mention that you have to ensure the aircon is off before starting the car.
Of course. Even Myvi can do that. Your contact list will also be synchronized. If want to make a call, just say "Hi Proton, call 0121234567".

Yes, i think in phone settings also you can change that.
Try the small branch one for lesser queue. I'm considering cancel and getting other car already since no news..

You can try your luck at cyberjaya, just go for any 4S dealers. Avoid small branches, only 3S & 4S dealers can sell x50.

Not sure how less time but I have got someone effective and reliable, do let me know if you need SA information

Thank you guys!

Just to update, my SA told me luckily she did not cancel the booking queue at HQ side (only at their dealer side) so my waiting time now is estimated at 3-4 months only instead of 6 months + thumbup.gif

Just received mine yesterday. Booked at Glenmarie SA. I also dont know how I can get mine so early despite the SA telling me that early batches are mostly for VIPs (and trust me I am a nobody).

Car drives good. The power steering is a tad too light IMO. After I drove my old car to park which I think has a light steering felt so heavy.

The thing I directly notice and dislike the most about it would probably be its lack of thigh support. Quickly felt tired during driving. The support/cushion is there just that its not high enough to really support the thighs. Not sure if its my seat/steering position that is causing this. I think Adrian from Wapcar addresses this in his review.

The thing I like the most was the Proton Link. Its so useful and has some good function in it.

But guys, the dashboard and A pillar gap is real. Hahaha. But not to obvious tho. Thank God I dont have the misalign rear lights.

Are you sitting too close to the steering wheel? How tall are you by the way?

Thanks. Been enjoying the car so far.
I am far away from tall. 165cm. I do tend to sit a bit more closely. This maybe the problem I guess. Will try and adjust and hopefully find a sweet spot.

Might want to get something like this. I used the keywords "car seat support thigh"

Does Intelligent Cruise Control combine ACC with lane keep assist?

So with ICC, I don't need to press on the accelerator, the car will just follow the car in front with a pre determined distance All I need to do is to steer the car only?

So if I only want the car to cruise at a certain speed without following the car in front, I should use ACC instead of ICC? With ACC, I don't get lane keep assist/lane centering assist?

How does the lane keep assist work when your hands are on the steering wheel? The car will override your steering to keep the car in the lane?

Thru data plan by telcos via sim card. That why they give allocation data per month
*
There's no physical sim card slot right? So after the 5 years 1gb/month plan, we need to approach the telcos to continue the data plan?

So guys, I'm actually having a huge dilemma on whether to install a security tint or non-security tint.

A security tint is a double edge sword.

1) Gives extra protection to passengers.

2) But it could be fatal during emergencies when you need to break the windows to escape.

This is a real dilemma for me.

What are the odds of road rage/attack vs fire/car submerged in water?

No one can tell which is better, the non security one may also cost you lives or damaged face area if it couldn't hold up shatters well during accident, worst case blinded by the glass.

Actually to break the glass all you need is a proper tools that is made to break the glass, buy one and keep in the car within your reach.

So my pick will be security but not those thickest 9mm type, Maybe 5 to 6mm will be sufficient to me.
*
Yes, in fact, the security tint will absorb some impact from an accident.

Maybe you're right, perhaps 5 to 6 mil tint is not that strong and it would be easier to break the glass from the inside. All those videos on youtube on security tint showed how many blows you need to hit before the glass shatters, perhaps those are like 8 to 9 mil.

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Feb 28 2021, 06:56 AM)
Tint shop will not install the security tint at windscreen. In case of emergency, they will break the windscreen
*
In an emergency, you only have seconds to escape, how are you going to go all the way to the back, break the glass and escape.

It's actually easier to install non-security tint on the back 2 windows and escape from there hmm.gif

same like that house window grill dilemma... scared thief come in but also scare cannot go out in case of fire emergency

anyway - go for security tint for door windows, but not too thick. it still can be broken and some push, the reason for security tint is so that the glass wont pecah-pecahan but stick in 1 piece (that's why need to push). however, touchwood if really accident, the airbags inflation is enough to help u break the front windscreen (i read somewhere, it is suppose to do so), then u can cabut from front windscreen.
P/s: front windscreen is just normal tint, wont be security tint....

Thanks but front windscreen is usually laminated glass which really is hard to break from what I read hmm.gif

Any recommended small sized fire extinguisher for the car? To mount below driver's seat.

Possible DIY set up the mount or better have someone install it? hmm.gif

Talking about tint, is there a lot of difference in terms of darkness between 40% and 50% VLT?

The 40% option I'm looking at kinda offers good TSER but too bad it's not JPJ compliant but tbh I think I can kinda get away with it if it doesn't look that much different from 50% VLT

Hey guys, 30% VLT for the rear windscreen is it too dark when checking the mirror at night?

And how much VLT % for you guys' sunroof? I'm deciding between 30% and 50% VLT. During the day time I would like some light to enter the cabin but at the same time don't want it to be too hot.

I think 30% is fine, still can see unless you feel that your vision isn't that good at night.

for the sunroof usually tinting shop will recommend very low VLT. I got mine for 5%, but still depends on the TSER value of the tint because the sunroof can easily allow heat to enter the car aside from the front windscreen
*
QUOTE(idkihavenoidealol @ Oct 17 2021, 12:23 PM)
Mine is 20% VLT and I feel fine. Maybe not used to it at first, but you'll adapt to it. Even with 20% VLT, my rear mirror also auto dim due to so many ahbeng cars with super bright lights

For the sunroof, really depend on your preference. Need to consider night view too cause if open sunroof curtain at night might be too dark to see outside.
*
Thanks for the comments. Yeah in a dilemma as I want the tint to be dark during the day but bright at night...and guess what? I just remembered about Hamel's photochromic tint. The tint is dark during the day and bright during the night...guess I'll get a quote from them right now laugh.gif

QUOTE(sanakim @ Oct 17 2021, 12:25 PM)
Hi there, I just did 3M Crystalline CR20 for rear windows and rear windscreen and last night it looks good but borderline on cannot see. I think any below 20% is too dark and not safe.

For sunroof, usually shop will recommend you take "building tint" as it's cheaper and supposedly same heat rejection (I got quote for ~RM200). I went for 3M CR20 for the sunroof and paid RM500 for peace of mind (whole car 3M yay rclxms.gif).  So far, quite happy with the heat rejection but only day 2, so let's see.
*
I think I might have been quoted this building tint as well, which goes for RM500 for 50% VLT...

Does the Flagship's sunroof come with a tint already? Also, watching some videos, it does seem the sunroof has a tint pre-installed already hmm.gif

I think this person mentioned it at 10:05

Somewhat agreed that one just need to enjoy the drive despite looking at the FC since I believe this will be one of the very last ICE (Petrol heads) cars we will drive if we could keep the car for more than a decade before transitioning to Electric drive.

However I still believe FC is equally important as some of you mentioned that your fuel consumption is 2x of mine hence imagine if I pay RM3k annually for fuel the other person will have to fork up quite a bit in the long run.

And honestly I did like to know at what average speed you guys managed to achieve with that Normal/Power drive when I am not driving slow by any means as I am able to clock up to 47km/hr (average speed) with 98% Eco mode.
*
Referring to the screenshot you provided, every time you refuel the calculations for FC will be reset and recalculated again right?

Must one only refuel when the tank is empty or does the calculations also reset when half empty?
