Finally get to claim new side mirror from Proton.
I was one of the first batch owner with the side mirror wind noise problem. The new side mirror have minor bump that deflect the wind away from hitting our windows.
The right side mirror can also turn outwards more for better view.

However, what I did not anticipate is after changing the side mirror, my 360 view gone kaput both left and right side. It does not align anymore.
After SC calibrate, the view got worse! Now my front and rear camera view are lowered, left and right view not balance.

Anyone know if we can calibrate the 360 camera manually?
I've only managed to see "auto calibrate" in settings.

P.S-my HU is still GKUI btw

definitely not working for GDI. The fuel mix with fuel cleaner are not shooting to the valve body which will clog with carbon deposit later due to GDI configuration. Just safe the money and do Walnut Blasting instead at 60k or 80k km interval.

Maybe they are technically right if they consider 20k km per year. After 2 years only 40k km.

All manufacturers with GDI kene. Unless they use combo gdi + port like latest VW engine, camry latest engine.

Would you say that x50 is a reliable car?

I'm seriously considering this car to replace my aging Proton Iriz, I'm leaning toward SUV because it's easier to carry baby in and out the car.

My 2nd option is the new Honda City Hatchback.

my 3rd option is either Honda HR-V or Toyota Corolla Cross.

I'm getting this x50 upon discount given. Hopefully can last long.

2 years plus here too, 120k KM soon.
Issued encounter was
- engine mounting
- steering rack (2 x replaced)
- drive shaft replaced
- alternator replaced
- flywheel (replace very soon)

any 1 change the x50 exe audio head unit before? mine is the 2011 model that monitor size 8' screen, now LCD screen koyak.......if back service center change need 2.3k++ ...... any 1 got better option to introduce?

hi folks, anyone had to replace their HCA? having issues with durian logo and seems to happen on an especially hot day (temp 37C on dash), the clutch seems to "slip" and only shifts between 2,4,6 only 1,3,5,7 never engages... recently went to sekinchan and suddenly in 7th gear its like the gear just slipped back into neutral and u press the gas it just rev up but car never picks up speed. had to stop/restart car then durian icon and check engine light came on and 2,4,6 only

read alot about HCA issues in general but not quite sure which SC can properly diagnose this. even with COSE now no longer directly operated by Proton im not sure if thats a good place to go anymore?

warranty ends in Jan 2025 but ive had this issue before and the SC just cleared the error code and said issue resolved, happened twice, both just cleared the error code and ignored anything i said.
this time im going to make some noise when I go

what is the average waiting time for RC Flagship? SA said depending on color about 1 month. Plan to go for jet grey but if ocean blue will be faster.

Had major service for 40k on Monday and there is additional work that is included which is to replace the clip for the rear right passenger windows, i believe this to cater power windows issue?

Sharing an update for my tyres - decided to go with the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 with 235x50R18 and it’s been ~2 weeks driving around town, up Genting and on some highways. They cost ~Rm670 per piece and tire shop charged additional RM55 for alignment.

Overall, quite happy with the tyres vs stock UC6 and would do it again if needed. Couple of observations:
1. Much better wet & dry grip than UC6, particularly noticeable these few days as KL has been very wet and many roods floodded
2. Handling overall when overtaking/cornering feels much more confident and less understeering effect
3. However, I feel that overall 0-100 acceleration is marginally slower.. I didn’t time it but maybe it’s an effect of new tires, wider tires etc, but I do feel it takes a smidge longer to get up to speed.. anyone else can confirm/deny this?
4. The aesthetics is super pretty with the “velvet touch” wall.. probably one of the key reasons I landed with the Pilot Sport
5. Speedometer change is ~1-2 km/h so tyre shop say no need to do recalibration

Hopefully helpful for other owners who are keen to change tyres.

Hello, I want to ask do your cars frequently experience wheel spin when accelerating from standstill. Eg when quickly crossing a T junction or going up slopes at parking lots.

My x50 seems to wheel spin a lot and the engine/transmission gives off an unpleasant sound when that happens

Wow.. 2 x50s? Nice. At least now exec version upgraded with 10.3 Ihu and full digital meter cluster also and with improved NVH.

Im driving 2019 proton persona now and many major parts need to change already... And considering the persona FC is more or less worse than x50 *after reading from other owners*, it kinda makes sense to move on.

So only thing major  i need to look out for is the flywheel sound?

Im driving persona CVT... Getting 9.5km to 10km/litre for 100% town driving. Im pretty light footed and rarely go over 2000rpm. Your persona is manual so im not surprised you are getting respectable FC.

nope. my friend told me because x50 is 3 cylinder pick up slower and when i feel it dont move, then i press more so that happened..

why get the old when new one has a better refined engine?

what kind of noise?
