Totalgard tint for best value for money. Check IRR% when buying a tint. A 90% IRR onward is a guide for better heat rejection
How much is it?Proton X50 2020 v1, B-Segment killer

QUOTE(idkihavenoidealol @ Apr 1 2021, 10:38 AM) I don't think there will be info so early, expect some rumours/official announcement by end of June. What was the "appreciation package"?Unlikely, but not impossible, for Proton to absorb the tax. Initially when tax exemption period was scheduled to end on 31st Dec 2020, Proton was giving out appreciation package to those who may receive their car in 2021. Then the period extended for another 6 months, and also unlikely to extended further. Unless you booked in Sept/Oct 2020 and yet to receive your car by end of June, then Proton should compensate something. Whether Proton absorbing the tax or giving out any free package, wait for official announcement. Even words from your SA cannot be trusted. Also, any idea how much is the SST exemption for the X50? |

Guys, I've been checking in every 2 weeks with my SA, and finally asked him if there's any good news cause otherwise I might be getting another car (to meet the June 2021 0% SST deadline).
Then my SA calls and say, to sign the loan agreement. Doesn't guarantee I will get the car, but high chance. This are his words. Exec variant, open colour, booked in early March 2021. My only concern is, is there a danger of signing the loan agreement, before there is certainty of getting the car? When does the first repayment begin - one month from signing of loan agreement, or one month from disbursement? Thanks! |

QUOTE(destee88 @ May 19 2021, 03:36 PM) Exec variant, open colour, booked in early March 2021 >??? before June confirm cannot get .. unless premium variant No is exec Variant. If cannot get why the SA say me like that and ask me to sign faster say can get car end of the month? In any case I don't get the car by end May I'm cancelling and getting my second option. Edit: Also, the banker did call and say the same to me. This post has been edited by contestchris: May 19 2021, 03:47 PM |

Got a jet grey allocation. Booking on 1st March 2021. Hope all is good.
Jey grey was second choice, blue was first choice. But SA says that this is a take it or leave it offer, and I'm going to bite. |

Guys, I'm collecting my Grey Exec this weekend. Just wondering, is coating the car necessary/beneficial? I know tinting is a no-brainer, but not sure if coating really necessary or not. I don't recall my parents cars in the past have any coating. The Myvi I drive before this for 8 yrs also okay only.

QUOTE(eikozai @ Oct 26 2021, 01:29 PM) Coated car need proper maintenance like frequent carwash. Totally the opposite side of advertisements where no proper care is needed after coating. Okay. Apart from that, you need the right car products to maintain the coating as well, or else, it will lose its hydrophobic and glossiness in just months. Another thing, Proton panel tinting says their max VLT is 55%, however this is still considerably lower than JPJ 70% VLT regulation. How does that make sense? |

Guys, can anyone confirm if the factory version comes with tinting? It looks to my naked eye like there is tinting.
My SA says no tinting whatsoever. Car workshop Uncle say got, and better just keep using it vs putting a cheap rm1.5k tint. Any opinions? My budget for tinting around rm1.5k, and also must be JPJ compliant. Thanks! |
