Yes, you can register your motor vehicle with any States in Malaysia except for Labuan and Langkawi which are duty-free zone areas. Motor vehicles from these two places can only be driven in the rest of Malaysia for a certain period of time in a calendar year.  The motor vehicles' prices on the road (before insurance) are lower than rest of the Malaysia.
*
Yes, you are right.

But what about the Labuan plates?

If car is bought in Semenanjung, but owner wanted to buy Labuan plates & register the car for usage in Semenanjung.

Should be possible.

Went to see Ativa... OMG, both thumbs down. You must have "unique" taste to like Ativa. Stick to my choice of X50.
*
Indeed.

It is subjective.

Ativa is meh for me.

I was dissapointed really in the design.

Perodua potentially can do better than this when they designed the Gen 3 Myvi.

Will wait for the X50

Thanks, also do you know why I'm reading conflicting comments, like I see some people saying inside the cabin is like driving in a continental car where it is silent, but than I also see people saying they can here wind noise and also see people installing soundproof?
So which is it, is it silent or noise cabin???
*
I guess it is subjective. It depends on what car they usually drive before this.

Comparison will be impaired.

Unless everybody use same sound meter tool to measure cabin noise.

You can download it as an app

just got x50 last week.

anyone encounter the whistling noise from a/c when on full blast during a hot afternoon?

the nvh of x50 is so much better compare to my accord.
but it is comparable to ma sis c250 sedan..

my biggest challenge right now, where is the fuel cap release lever? or we just need to press on the cap to release it?
*
Should be similar to X70. Unlock car, press fuel lid to open

Neutral soap water to clean leather

The manual indicate the use of this to clean the interior.

What is neutral soap water and is there is simple household agent suitable for use ?
I donot want to spend RM 100 on a bottle of soap !

You can try TLC Green Multi Action Cleaner

I use this in my cars

The webpage says TLC Green cleaner made of plant base product but no mention of pH.

What about Cosway Ecomax concentrated dish drops ?
https://cosway.com.my/product/ecomax-concen...h-drops-08504/#

Plant based and readily available in my house
*
No idea, bro. Never tried it before.

So far been using it on faux leather & cow hide leather seats with satisfaction.

Just spray & wipe.

Cheap & easily available at supermarkets.

Talking about tint, is there a lot of difference in terms of darkness between 40% and 50% VLT?

The 40% option I'm looking at kinda offers good TSER but too bad it's not JPJ compliant but tbh I think I can kinda get away with it if it doesn't look that much different from 50% VLT
*
After 2, 3 years it looks similar.

If you put it side by side it does have a noticeable difference.

But, so far touchwood never got summon because of tinted.

I'll always roll down driver window or front passenger window when going through roadblock

Actually new car they don’t advice to straight go above 100kph (realistically speaking it’s the RPM, don’t push that to 4-5k limits so quick).
*
Yeah. For the first 1000km. Try not to rev the engine above 3k rpm.

10K does not make huge dent in the pocket for anyone when spread out on loan for a number of years.

However I'm not keen on the FS for another reason, something no one is looking at! FS is a DI engine, thats the reason for extra horses. The issue with DI egines is premature carbon build up. There is no running away , all DIs suffer from this phenomena. Over the years Manufactures have redesign pistons and a few items to delay this issue.

Although presently this issue is somewhat under control, its proven fact Port injection suffers less on this issue than DI engine.

For this reason & the extras which I dont consider necessary, I've decided to get Executive!Just my 2 cents worth. Welcome opinions,tq!
*
DI engines also has more noise than MPI engines. You can only hear it from the outside since the cabin insulation is good.

Then spend rm700 per 60k km. Its a known issues for GDI from all car manufacturers.
*
If you're talking about walnut blasting.

It could be cheaper at about RM500, & can delay up to 100k km intervals.

Money is not an issue here,  servicing outside is.
*
If you worry about walnut blasting that requires the engine to be dismantled,

You can try Liqui Moly Jet Clean Tronic service. If you go to their malaysian website, there is a list of service partners that provides this.

The service cost about RM550.

Depends on your needs.

At that price & spec wise. Difficult to find a contender. Even without tax holiday.

If you don't mind to wait, by all means.

I'm still waiting for my sis' Executive variant 😅

Will doing it void warranty ?

No need hardwire. Just plug & play to fusebox to avoid voiding warranty

Anyone receive their X50 recently? Tried to call Proton careline but was informed only towing service available now. Emailed them and got a standard reply.

Sigh, waiting almost 8 months already.
*
Nope. Still waiting. Countdown stuck ever since MCO 3.0
