Interesting, I havent seen anyone recommending proxes cr1 for comfort.
*
It was based on my own experience. Was using Toyo CR1 before.

Then changed to Primacy 4 in the hopes that it would be a better all rounder tire than CR1.

Boy, I was wrong. There was a significant difference in terms of comfort & road noise.

CR1 trumps Primacy 4 in NVH levels. As a consolation, Primacy 4 has better traction wet & dry, better braking & better mileage.

Damn... my times to change tyres. One nail stucked deep inside and the surface starting to crack. Besides Michelin, what else worth considering?

Goodyear Eagle F1 Sport? If got the size.

I think it's fine to discuss since it's the stock tyre for X50. After owning the car for 2yrs, I can feel the tyre detoriated a lot from what it used to be. I checked the tyres, it looks fine physically, but in wet I dont feel safe anymore (the car has 23k mileages on it).

I skidded twice going down hill (like 10 degrees) + corners at 70-80kmh on wet road, feels like my tail swerving and double signal light up, I think that's the warning from car trying to tell it's losing grip.

I am seriously looking for a tyre to change now, probably Primacy 4, losing trust on Continental to be honest, or did I drive wrongly?
*
It's not you entirely. Most likely it's the tires. UC6 sucks big time. Especially in the wet traction criterion.

Hi guys. Any major issues with the DCT gearbox, turbo etc? What's yr average FC for city and highway drive? Is it ok to buy thr current RC now? Proton is giving massive discount of 12k probably to clear stock cos of upcoming x50 new facelift. Im thinking to grab the executive version.
*
Executive variant is the most reliable variant for X50. I have 2 of them in my household.

Also dubbed as a good choice for a retirement car. Tall ride height, easy ingress & egress, high visibility & decent power delivery. With less electronics, also less potential problems. No issues with car battery prematurely ran out of juice.

Every time I drive X50 and whenever i pick-up at traffic light or carpark, the wheels slip. I thought it was a problem with Conti tires, but my friend said it's because I have a 'golden right foot' (meaning I accelerate too aggressively). What's the actual problem? Do you all experience this issue?
*
It's the tires, bro.

Change to better traction tires.

Im driving persona CVT... Getting 9.5km to 10km/litre for 100% town driving. Im pretty light footed and rarely go over 2000rpm. Your persona is manual so im not surprised you are getting respectable FC.
*
I get the similar FC as yours when I used to own the Persona VVT CVT.

But I was heavy footed with that car.

However, for X50 exec, I am a mild spirited driver. My FC is almost similar with the Persona VVT albeit with spirited driving.

How bad are the issues? from what i read from 1st page up to now (in selection parts) can see from what you posted mostly related to high end more tech models yes? (im looking at entry models, not so savy on that high end models etc.)

power window, sensors, apps, infotainment etc.

how about key components like engine, drive train, alternators, handling, brakes etc? Has the latest production settled all those issues?

I know every car has its ups and downs, but if there is an option should i still opt for x50?
*
My car is the Executive variant. In the 4 years of ownership, only claim I've made was the side mirrors.

Other than that, no issues. Just regular service, & wear & tear.

whats wrong with side mirrors? broken? accident? motor inside rosak?
*
Earlier batches have limited adjustability. the furthest adjustment could only go so far, but still not enough & you still get a skewed side view of the car during driving.

When I heard that the later batches have fixed this issue, tried my luck to claim warranty during routine service. fortunately claim was approved.

Anyone tried UX7 215/55 R18? Planned to get Hankook Ventus Prime4 K135 RM4xx but unfortunately no stock. Due to my 4 yrs old UC6 already koyak big piece at side wall so desperate changed to UX7 which cost me RM580/pc x 4  bangwall.gif . I believe you can get far more cheaper cause me really desperate at buying time.

It's quieter and more confident in cornering and wet also. Could be new tyres thread more confident.

you guys know any walnut blasting on northern johor or melaka area?
wanna to clean throttle body or intake.

because sometime on traffic light, on auto hold D1 or N
car will vibrate with fixed interval, slightly giving it a little throttle/accelerator vibrate will gone for now.

at first i tot rpm dropped too low, but after observation..rpm still same.
changed sparkplug like 5K mileage ago, so i suspect throttle body or intake dirty now.

issue: it doesnt happen on every traffic light stop, so reproduce kinda hard as it random appear

Or could it be the gb mounting or some kind?

Does anyone know how to set the unlock button to only open the driver’s door?
*
You can set child safety lock on the rear doors.

You need to use the physical key to turn the slot.

You can watch it here:
