strange, my coolant level is also at minimum; can i use toyota coolant instead, cos i have some extra
*
To what I know from radiator service, as long they were the same color and type, it should do.
Like example premix need to top up with premix which is usually in red.

Those in green usually need to add water and should not mix with premix.

Unless this X50 is using something new tech then I don't know..

Mine 6k mileage still at full indicator, how much mileage is yours?

how to do it? can you guide me?
*
When plug in cable your phone will prompt notification to install/open QD Link and allow for access, just allow everything.

If your QD Link doesn't link to HU, reconnect the cable.

Once linked, you should be able to see Waze on screen just poke at that App on HU (for android) and remember don't put your phone on lock screen as mirror link require your phone display to be on all time with the QD link app (Both HU and Phone)

Yes, i did that bro.

It works when you're stationary and not moving.
Once you move, it will become disabled
*
Are you opening Waze through QD Link?
Mine works well even car moving

Hi all the sifus here, I am thinking whether to buy executive spec or premium spec considering the price difference RM8400, my concern will be the 17inch and 18inch tyres and rims as well as the black and red interiors. Sifus any advices for me?
*
My take would be either Exec or Flagship

U can say the same for premium to flagship with top up just another 10k, how that can be too much to top up for if you think 8400 is small price to pay from exec to premium.

that's why my mind battling between exe and premium spec. Flagship is totally out of my consideration because of my budget.
*
If Flagship will become budget issue. Go for exec, save even more from Premium.

In general what you can do with Premium mostly can be done on Exec as well, except maybe the 360 cam & tire pressure sensor.

18" tire is more expensive too.

Edit: Premium mostly is just cosmetic improvements compared to Exec, if you really care that much about the cosmetic upgrade probably can consider.
from the outside Exec look decently well with LED headlamp & leather seat, only people who familiar with X50 able to grasp the difference between premium and exec from outside, Exec look pretty decently spec and won't feel kosong unless u really care about those cosmetic upgrades.

In my opinion if cost a problem go for Exec,

If don't like sunroof and direct injection engine but have money to spare, Premium is the way.

Personally to invest this price range of a car I will want at least safety feature like Front collision warning & blindspot monitor to be available otherwise 3 more years down the road your car become obsolete quickly.

I wonder why I seldom any silver on the road? Just because the color is too normal?
*
Silver feel like some typical SUV, not as catchy as those unique Red/Orange/Blue.. I don't feel I saw a lot of white too but in fact white is one of the best seller, because they too blend in SUV color naturally, then Silver is just so normal that maybe after 10 or 20 years it still hold up well on the road.

hows the fc for x50?
both the GDI and MPI engine.
*
My Flagship ranges from 9.6km/l to 14km/l

14km/l because long distance drive from KL to Kota Bharu using Gua Musang route, normally I would get around 9.6 - 10km/l driving in KL,

in comparison with similar drive style and coverage I get around
9.8km/l with X50 Flagship
11km/l with Subaru Forester
13km/l with Persona VVT 1.6 MT
14km/l with Myvi 1st geb 1.3 MT

Ive got the infamous battery low voltage from apps. Baru beberapa bulan and i just left it park for 3 days. 😂 last time 5 days also still going strong.

Batteri apa proton pakai ni.
And yes i lock the door and battery terminal is tight.
*
Heard the battery runs out pretty quick due to the number of electronics and the HU is still literally connected with internet.. if you use dashcam for parking surveillance maybe will go down even faster.

That's 2.0 AWD + 300kg heavier brows.gif

but with around 100km/h cruising I believe X50 can get better mileage with sacrificing some fun

But in fact I have gone through the additional package they offered like all driver, flood relieve, pa insurance. Hmm hmm doesn’t justify for me at least, maybe I won’t stick with them the next year. Just the car key part is my liking only
*
Those all driver/flood relieve I thought is free?

They didn't charge me for that and it was included because it was part of Proton programm, at first I rejected all those then the SA said these are all free from Proton.

thats good. i wonder why those in FB crying about fuel.

that FC is typical 2 liter car FC ( 150hp/200NM kind of 2liter engine)
*
Maybe because of the small tank, imagine 1 full tank can travel around 300-350km only in normal city drive seems pretty short.. but on highway normal drive no problem hitting 500km, this car is certified EEV yo, means u can achieve good FC if you willing to try.

I would say the range is very big compared to NA engine, like the other NA car I had I get around 10-20% difference in FC with different driving style and route, no matter how far I tried the figure won't go off too much, but with Turbo engine u can easily get FC difference up to 50% and above depending on your driving style and route.

Big power comes big responsibilities.

just checked the brochure, x50 is 45liter.  thats alright.
my fc of 13km vs 9km , varies more than 40%.  icon_question.gif
*
My worst is 8.9km/l for my first tank, I haven't really try aggressive drive with this X50 yet, still running in.

Maybe after 7k mileage should see some improvements and consistencies.

Mind to share your 2.0 N/A is which car?

Hello sifus. Plan to do coating n ppf for my car. Any shop recommendations in klang valley? Estimate around Rm1k. Tq 🙏
*
After done ppf still need coating? Unless only for certain parts..

BTW 1k don't think u can get decent ppf, and if you really want ppf better get the good one because you don't want to spend on something that destroy your paint when peeling off or not performing as you wanted.

Do u guys think that Mysia is the dumping ground for outdated binyue/x50?

Regardless how people claim about the 4 Cyl engine is more superior,
let's just look at market in Malaysia, we don't get any engine that can outperform this 3 Cyl in term of power & NVH we have now for similar price range & segment, it's still one of the best engine we can get for now.

Not the most preferred engine in China, but definitely one of the top in Malaysia.

QUOTE(JoeK @ Feb 19 2022, 11:36 AM)
I always pressed P on the gear knob when parking

I always reverse park into my house, When auto hold is on and you want to reverse park of course your foot is always on the brake
Once my car is in position, i will press brake a bit harder to stop the car and auto hold will auto engage in this situation
Thats when it happened.

Fyi also, i wasn't complaining. I merely pointing out this fact so others are aware. So let's be civil here and avoid name calling
*
I notice the auto hold doesn't hold on my car when the slope gradient is very low, that's where I stopped using Auto Hold worried I hit on other cars, plus I still have a MT car at home don't want to get relied on full auto function too much which might cause some bad habit for me while driving the MT.

Sometimes I switch to N and Pull Handbrake manually because its easier to engage to D without pressing the rear of the lever, If engage in P need to press the back of the level to be able to engage to D.. just some user habit thing.
