This is a program/script to install file manager and your own APK files to the head unit for X50 and Geely Coolray/Okavango.
Refer to the video clip here how the program/script will run.

The zip file below is for installing a File explorer into the car head unit. For other apps, you need to download yourself and put inside the APK folder after extracted/unzip the file
Readme.txt within the zip file for more details.

Simple instructions here is:
Make sure your current usb drive able to play music from it.
If yes, just extract all file from the zip given below into the USB drive at root folder.
Add your own apks files into APK files folder is needed to install together.
Plug the USB into your car and wait for 30 secs to see start doing something. If nothing happen then you must have done something wrong in preparation steps.

This is a quiet release since this doesn't impact the function.

0.X first beta release for X50 and Okavango. Available in separate zip files.
0.1 merge X50 and Geely into one installation file.
0.1a fixed on batch installation that only run 1 apk file.
0.2 version number was used by MinannaLee, thus skipped this ver.
0.3 -added code from #MinannaLee for system settings changes - to speed up windows/animation/transition and install from unknown source.
-hardcoded usbdrive detection by looking for done.sh in the root folder from udisk1 or udisk2.

The changes is just smoothen abit on displaying the log.txt during installation and modified the program/script to run on both X50 and Geely Coolray/Okavango.
Fixed on batch installation issue with beta v0.1.

For my passager side, not really an issue for me.
However to lock, I did noticed mine is shifted slightly to the back of the 2 line on the handle.
Works most of the time in the centre, but shifted positions works better in my feeling.

Not sure because I add the cover on top of it affecting the position.

Also do note about the unlock l/lock sensor will not work if 2 persons trying unlock the driver and passager doors at same moment. It will freeze for awhile before allow unlock again the one side (the one with keynob). I think this is part of security feature incase someone want to barge in when you unlocking the doors.

For the software, please be specific with your question. Hard for me to tell you what I tested when I also cant rmb.
I'm using syok, Spotify, Waze, android Auto, smart next tube and occasionally Netflix.

The version I had is HUR 6.3RC is on HU.
You phone should have Android Auto build in.
If it doesnt connect to your head unit after installation, try open Android Auto and enable developer mode to start head unit server.

I'm using this approach for my Vivo phone and for Huawei P20 no need. Don't know why.
But I can run AA wireless with it.

Someone from the FB already asked the same question and tested by one user that said can't after update.

So take it as no and this is expected.

If can obtain the update file, maybe still possible to find the new key.

Need help here.

How do you mount /mnt/media_rw/[UUID] in the new android?
I suspect this is the one need to work in the newer Android ver.

Please PM if you got any great idea to test it out.

Extract to the root of usb drive.
The scripts will only generate a log file on your usb drive if able to run.

Got the update notification here.
Downloaded into HU but didn't Install it yet
Unlikely will install IT, saw in FB users did complaint it is more lagging than before.

Still looking high and low for the 465mb update file.
Tried with explorer and enabled hidden files, seem like not inside the /storage folde, but definitely observed storage space drop from 3.1G to 2.6G from the root and storage folder.

When have more time will try again.

For barebone, you can run CN Geely firmware.
I do know 1 user for X50 already installed it.
Firmware for Coolray somehow doesn't come with Hi Proton and they able to have root access.

I don't think it will work.
As the script won't get rw access to system folder.
Only can read thus your ES.apk won't go in.

Just wanted thanks everyone for the efforts to get the update file.

I have tried to dump the /data and /system folder without the root access.
Seem uodate file or the zip file not there.

FYI most documentation will state one of the default will be in /cache folder or potentially also in /system/app folder where the update application is holding it.

Long story short, I agreed with @Cheapodude, a root access is needed.
For that option, tried Kingroot and it fail to root, terminate at the last processing 5/6.
No sure because of the bootloader is being locked.

So for your interest here stop repeating the same mistake like me to look for it just with the file manager.

You need to be more creative than what I did.. 😅
No offence, just want to you use creatively in better way.
