With that budget can look into Polygon brand. Polygon is very well established and global brand. Made in Indonesia.
Java, Camp, Comp, Alcott, Twitter all made in China and not a reputable brand.

Your budget fall into Giant Talon. I not sure is either model 3 or model 2 but the price seem very close.

For those riding MTB final destination sure will go for full suspension. Since you already ride so many years of hard tail and willing to spend more on this sport why not give a try on soft tail?

My first time heard about the XDS brand in Malaysia around 2009 ~ 2010. Got people bring in their bike selling in here. Rm7xx~Rm9xx already got full alloy hard tail. Rm12xx already got alloy full suspension model.

Until today this brand still survive because quantity they selling out are huge in china. Some more they majority do OEM business. Some of their model just paste the XDS sticker but exactly same like those famous brand one.

Yea, you have the point.! i have been pondering on this too. i have been riding hard tail for almost my whole life. but i just wonder is full suspension gonna feel very "bouncy" if i use it for taman ride?

Yea.! i did some research online and this brand is really huge in china. i did not purposely search for it, but i saw usj cycles carries it and they have lots of model. Honestly their design is kinda nice and the price is really reasonable, mostly below 2k.

another one i think is really nice is Canyon, i like their business model and also the design. However their cheapest MTB is around 5k which is not that cheap after all. haha

It's depend on the rear shock. Once you setting correctly should be no issue.

recently I just notice RM5k can let you get a entry setting DH bike. LOL

haha i guess downhill is not really common, maybe for me. the series of MTB is really confusing as they have so many range, why cant they have one that fits all.

terrain to determine which bike you suppose to ride. But very pity people always to focus on speeds at the end you will lose a lot of fun.

How's the ting ?

I have a cheap belll and a cateye bell .

Cateye bell is really loud, sharp and longer sustain .....tiiiiiiiiiinnnnggggg. (at times in have to stop the ting with my finger when I'm use it at night in my Taman . Lol).

this one solid and the build is almost rust free. The sound is good too. Installation is easy and no need to pull out everything on handlebar. Most important the cost RM6.5 now. Really impeccable.

last year only, got shop sell new bike with spec like these for less than RM2400, 27.5 wheel, Manitou fork some more, whole bike 11.5kg
