some of their series have some serious specs, everything good except well.... the body if you question their brand quality.

last year only, got shop sell new bike with spec like these for less than RM2400, 27.5 wheel, Manitou fork some more, whole bike 11.5kg

yea, recently got poison by polygon D5, altho is out of my budget, perhaps should save money for better one rather than upgrade it soon.
*
I just go to see the detail of the spec. If really serious then don't buy D5. Minimum need go to D6.

2021 already spend RM3k++ to buy a frame using QR is not a good choice. Polygon bike price no longer cheap anymore.

For someone with zero knowledge with mountain bike, any model around RM500 to recommend to beginner? The best bang for buck type.

In the smartphone universe, maybe you have the iPhone 12 Pro and the Samsung Z Fold 3 which is the most premium range. And then moving down you have the mid range smartphone like the One Plus and Samsung M series.

Is there any Xiaomi equivalent for mountain bike ?

Just go to any bicycle shop, pretty sure they have bike that under 1k.
But with that budget, you cannot be picky la.
That budget, the specs confirm not good.
Last time I bought my budget MTB for my father that checked all the bare minimum spec for me also around RM1.7k price.
Trinx Brand.
My bare minimum spec is

Shifter and derailur : must be Shimano Altus at least.
Brake : Must be hidraulic (Shimano or Tektro) and must be Disc Brake.
Fork : Must be from reputable brand like SR Suntour even it is coil. But If can get Air type that is a BONUS.

Not quite possible with that budget.
Cheapest I saw brand new is RM799+ on Izrimee Bike Store.
Even used bike, it is hard to get that price nowadays.
Since COVID, Bicycle price is sky rocketed. sweat.gif

Want to ask those sifus who have changed their own tyres (MTB tyres) if you encountered problems trying to get the tyre back onto the rim? Those videos in youtube made it look so easy, but in reality........i was made to sweat for hrs and eventually tore the inner tube mad.gif mad.gif

What tool you using?

Use this tool. This is the very nice tools which not let your rim be scratch. And when you install back the inner tube remember pump a little air inside.
