since you are aiming for whole group set and willing to spend on the most high end component, I suggest you direct go to famous bike shop order retail version XTR group set rather than those OEM version.

You can order XTR RIM set as well. Then it is complete XTR M9000 series. If order retail version come with so call warranty issue by Shimano Malaysia.

one more thing you need to alert. 9000 series XTR hub non of them are 9mm/10mm quick release. If you wish to use it then you need to use adapter convert it into QR to fit your bike frame.

Sounds like quite a lot of money spent on this mtb... why not just straight get a trail worthy bike with decent groupset?

I saw his MTB is full suspension foldable bike so I guess if he want to buy new bike also will aim full sus. That one is really costly.

I've googled the bike based on the wheelset he has and I dun think that bike is made for the trails. Plus the rear wheel is a bolt for freewheel cassette and I doubt you could just swap the hubs easily or even possible without individual spokes to a freehub.

actually tourney 8 speeds group set very nice. Your tourney shifter is easy fire shifter?

seldom look into foldable frame. Regarding the hub got too many solution to adapt. So it is not an issue for that. Just rim issue need more concern only.

Yeah its easy shifter. There is some issue at smallest size rear derailleur, if bike hard it will just go up and go down back again, been aligned and fine tune many times still cannot solve the issue yet.

Based on this bike, it's gonna be an issue for the frame for the trails. Taman ride is still ok.

Well, you said it yourself... rim issue which rolls down to the hub adaptability... like I said, if it's normal spokes, it's still ok but those types... I'm guessing the hub system is part of the wheelset... so, like I said b4... ditch the wheelsets and get a decent pre-loved.

Yeah smallest cog, sometimes can reach sometimes cannot reach.

The RD may be already end of life. It is due to rust or the spring issue. Just replace it with 8 speeds altus or acera or old model Alivio RD enough. That one below Rm90~Rm70 can settle.

I would usually think it's the H L screws not adjusted properly but since it's been tinker around, probably bend RD hanger or faulty RD?
