My car is Proton Persona Highline. Just out from shop 3 days ago. Just after one day out, have problem with Oil Paddle. I need to push till 3000rpm to change gear. Anyone face the same problem? By next thursday will go to Service centre to change problem part.

Just recently come home from Proton Service Cheras. Thank to Proton Staff there, very nice and helpful person. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Actually the problem is with computerize of the oil pedal. Just setting some configuration to the car, and nothing has been replaced. If any one feel lost of power (need to push to 3000-4000rpm to change gear - for Highline Auto), then it might be help for you to go SC and ask them to setting back. Thankfully no problem with engine or gear. rclxm9.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif

How long does it take to do this? I might probably get my car checked too.

I also dislike them. If not because i-care require me to go to SC for a savvy jerk problem...

They blame on my driving behaviour. I can accept other blame that but they irritate me when they said "I need to warm up my car for at least 10mins"

Somemore said "We do not like when you to dealer for service but come to us for problem."

I liked proton, but this ppl's attitude really piss me off. I'll surely send a verbal complaint to i-care later! mad.gif

Which is why I send my car for service at other places, anywhere but Proton SC. If you find it right, some (most?) of the shops out there performs excellent in servicing cars.

It's quite normal for the signal lights to fall off... I've experienced this ever since a few years ago... Apparently, this happens after the rubbery area around it starts to "sag" after a few years... A few months if you keep it under the sun every day for more than 10 hours... laugh.gif

Hi. I own a proton wira 1.5gli. Bought in May 2000. Today I had my throttle body changed. Cost me RM790 for the full body (not half body like most proton service center sold). Is it really necessary to have it changed for a 8 year old car?

persona owner here... 1.6L manual m-line...
at the end of this month will be 1 year old liao with mileage 8500km nod.gif
so far FC, pump rm75 can go until 400km = 13km/L or 0.19c/km based on rm2.45/L sweat.gif
no major problem except rattling sound at the front right wheel when going over bump or pothholes mad.gif

Hi i'm a new Persona owner (3 weeks), I've also experiencing 'small rattling sound' at the front right. Any idea what causing it and how to fix it?! Mine is a SE auto, pump rm 70 based on rm 2.00 per liter go around 380 km, 10.5km/L driving slow. FC considered high. icon_question.gif

also, due to the infamous power window issue with proton, has anybody have any idea if all 4 power windows can be changed to manual ones....need to go to half cut shop?

-cheers-
