business laptops usually have higher build quality
you wanted a gaming laptop? it's a completely different segment...
I wanted to get a higher perf. laptop - not necessary gaming, but higher spec. More like a universal type and big no for business laptop, it is for my personal use.
-personal use, minimal portability (docked at home 90%), casual gaming (so prefer graphic card), casual video rendering (sony vegas), connect to VM for work (minimal use of MS office). Not desktop because need to carryout some time.
Current laptop works fine but unable to run casual gaming / video rendering anymore, quite old, and risk of latest updates not compatible. Using Gigabyte U2442.

Newbie in thread here, is there any thread/resource I can read about higher build quality? I know from experience the 'feel' of business laptops is smoother (hinge) and sturdier for carrying around. Is that what higher build quality means, and if so how does that translate to longetivity?
Am currently using a HP Envy 13 which I'm very happy with except it can't add RAM and my current WFH requirements already maxing out my 8GB, so starting to explore again.
Exactly why I am here and what I am trying to look for.. haha..
