i wonder with this new change, will it affect the grab reward point earn when we use the card on online/offline stores. .ie if i spend rm100 on e-commerce, do i still get 2x points for every RM1 spent
*
No changes to card side, only grab wallet spending

Why accumulate so many points for it to be devalued? Isnt it better to use up the points regularly esp with Grabunlimited discounts, now can redeemed 2000pts for rm20 vouchers instead of 3000 points. I have so far redeemed >80x rm20 grabfood/mart vouchers.
*
You do know that price on Grab is inflated right? The unlimited discounts is only useful if you are redeeming GrabFood and GrabCar voucher. And GrabFood price is so much higher than retail price.

Other than that, it’s 3000 points to RM20 for normal voucher.

commission fee passed down to consumers. bit again that's how merchant and grab survive, and consumers pay for the convenience
*
Yes that's why the grab unlimited catalog is not really useful.

You are forced to pay for overpriced food.

Might as well redeem online payment voucher at 3000 points

Yes the more the merrier. Looks like each day mbb is awarding cb for 2 weeks. So 5 more cb?
*
I just remember the campaign is spend 1k every week for 13 weeks.

So most probably max is RM50 x 13.

Only 10 winners each week, seems like easy to win, so not many participants?

You are an accountant right? You should know better than I do.
Eg you pay RM50 cash to the cashier at petrol station, she will use Ewallet to settle.
Also, a lot of people not qualify to pay tax, especially hawkers. Haha.
Also, some businesses mark up their revenue and profit, for good valuation or getting a loan.
*
I see, so basically converting cash payment to ewallet payment that earns point. Akin to Petronas staff swiping their own mesrakads.

I was assuming pay to ownself without any transaction in place.

Can I clarify why you all getting CIMB card as a replacement for the Maybank Grab Card, when the cashback percentage is the same or just slightly better?
CIMB eCard percentage is slightly better but that bonus points have capped at 20k
Please correct my calculation if I'm wrong

20,000 Bonus Point (BP) can redeem RM 50 Cashback

CIMB Travel World Elite (TWE) (No Points Cap)
user posted image

RM 1 = 10 BP
20,000 BP = RM 2000 x 10 BP
RM 50 Cashback / RM 2000 Spending = 2.5% Cashback

CIMB eCard(20,000 BP cap)
user posted image

eDay Spend (one day only on 28th) : RM 1 = 12 BP
20,000 BP = RM 1666.67 x 12 BP
RM 50 Cashback / RM 1666.67 Spending = 3% Cashback

Normal Day : RM 1 = 3 BP
20,000 BP = RM 6666.67 x 3 BP
RM 50 Cashback / RM 6666.67 Spending = 0.75% Cashback

============================================================================

Assuming if Grab Unlimited and Platinum user
5000 Points = RM 50 Cashback

Maybank Grab Card (No Points Cap)
user posted image

Top Up RM 1 into wallet = 1 Points
Spend that same RM 1 using GrabPay = 1.5 points
Effectively 2.5 points

5000 points = RM 2000 x 2.5 points
RM 50 Cashback / RM 2000 Spending = 2.5% Cashback
*
The fact is now Grab card only provide 1x points.

That's 1% cashback only.

Compare that with PB card or Affin card that can provide 3-4% of nett cashback.

Anyone know how much is the shadow limit for Maybank credit card? I have already exceeded my credit limit by few hundreds and still able to top up.

Wanna utilize the card to the max before April.

Bye bye Grab Mastercard.

Not my first card, but surely it's my number 1 most utilized card.

Goodbye for now.
