Overall good result. I was worried before the game that the unbeaten run at Anfield was in danger today. Just saw the highlight and thought Son's toe was offside? Luckily it didn't matter in the end.

Oh wow, WBA sacked Slavan Bilic and got Big Sam in? Hope their players don't have the "new manager syndrome" and play the game of their lives against us.

Just give those media shit a pass. We know everyone (yes including VAR) is trying their best to topple us this season. All the players under Klopp know their place. And everyone know no one is indispensable. We've survived Suarez, Sterling, Coutinho leaving. We became better. As long as Klopp stays, he will ensure order and continuity in the club. I expect one of his assistants (the Real Pep haha) to step up when he leaves in a few years.

C'mon guys, top of table and still want to complain. Yes there are too many draws, but that is because teams get to know each other more and we are the defending champions this year so most teams up their game when playing against us. I believe we would've spent much more in the summer if not for the pandemic. Look at City. They too brought in big money signings and where they are in the table? Hopefully we are going to get a CB in when the winter transfer window opens. Rumours are we are getting the Celta Vigo guy, as well as maybe a swap deal involving Origi and a bundesliga player. No one thought VVD will get such a serious injury so early in the season (yes F U Pickford). Playing Fabinho there has been a revelation, but you can't deny we would've been much much better with VVD in defence and Fabinho in midfield. To me, that is the biggest difference. Don't forget, when VVD got the injury, most pundits even thought that our title defence is over. So I'm just glad that we are top despite that. Happy New Year my fellow Reds! YNWA!

I don't like the idea of Hendo at CB. He isn't a CB, not even a true CDM like Fabinho. But the biggest effect is no one will be the driving force in midfield, with Jones also not starting. Thiago playmaker, Shaq offensive and Gini being Gini. Guess the boss is counting on outscoring the opponent.

QUOTE(farisq @ Jan 18 2021, 12:30 AM) Agree, regardless his workrate... He's not a cb... But other options is too risky But why is Hendo on the left side of defence?

Shaq has been good, Bobby below par as usual. I'm finding it hard to remember when was the last good game from Bobby.

QUOTE(farisq @ Jan 18 2021, 01:22 AM) He was good against palace Everyone was good against Palace. Shaq on a yellow is walking a thin line for 2nd half, Thiago passes not on spot today, Gini keep losing the ball and bad touches in attacking 3rd. Hendo and Fab so far doing well, but Rashford only needs 1 onside to go 1-on-1 such is the high line we are playing.

QUOTE(jimbet1337 @ Jan 18 2021, 01:27 AM) FA should be ashamed. It's all pre-planned. Exactly. Was surprised when he blew for half time. I thought it should be "a minimum of 1 minute"

How we missed Jota. Still can't believe he played in that useless CL rubber.

Minamino definitely deserves his chance seeing how Bobby played lately. Thing is no one passes to him when he is on the pitch.

Forget this match. All huff and puff but no end product. Credit to ManU, they got what they came for and almost snatched it at the end. Next game please play Shaq in one of attacking trio, and move Hendo back to midfield please. Jones instead Gini. Mane-Salah-Shaq, Hendo-Thiago-Jones.

QUOTE(Adell G @ Jan 18 2021, 02:30 AM) Our front three are dysfunctional and selfish, they cant score shit and do nonsense pass Our real crisis is the front three and not defensively which is weird. I believe they take their starting places for granted since Jota injured and boss not willing to play Mino or Shaq in attack. Another factor maybe because TAA is off form as well. We also lack the presence of VVD and Matip during setpieces. The saving grace is Alisson has maintained his performance even when others drop. I think based on recent form the back up to our front 3 are Origi and Shaq. I mean we know Mino won't be able to pull off the pass Shaq did for Salah's second goal. And we probably need to play Origi more so other clubs are interested in him come summer. Or it could simply be that clubs didn't ask for Origi loan This post has been edited by torres09: Feb 2 2021, 01:15 PM

I guess it is obvious who of our front 3 is most important. In hindsight I knew we had a winning chance against Spurs and West Ham, but at home against lesser teams we always struggled this season. At this rate better just hope we can finish in top four.
