U know what? For me the key is Shaq. His positioning was spot on and instead of just hacking balls into the area like Robbo and Trent, he tend to look up and measure his pass or cross into the box.

And I thought Thiago was magnificent in midfield today. All the good things flowed through him. His passes down the middle always found red. But he got substituted. I don't know what Gini did today. I don't know why Milner was brought on.
A very very poor performance and can't wait for the season to end to be honest. I hope West Ham get the last CL spot instead of Chelsea. That's all I hope for.

Klopp can't be in there putting away the chances. In this game alone, Mane missed a few, Jota missed 2 or 3, Salah missed the 1 on 1.
We are over dependent on our full backs, but it isn't that they are not putting good balls into the area or providing service to our front players.
As much as Bobby does "for the team", he isn't scoring enough or providing enough assists. Mane has gone off the boil and I dread to say Salah often needs 2 or 3 chances to score 1 (but at least he scores).
I say we get Kabak signed up and reinforce our front line. At least he isn't injury prone.

As much as I want billionaire (oil rich) owners to buy over the club and be the next City or Chelsea, deep down I believe that is not how the club was built on. Cheating through FFP rules, buying the way to success, paying overboard fees and wages to attract players...

We did not add on to the squad after we won the Champions League, but there was genuine lack of top class, "reasonably priced" players that would improve the squad. Timo Werner was one, but seeing how it is playing out for him at Chelsea, I think on a way we dodged a bullet there. Defensively we bought young and fringe players, but no one could've saw VVD being KO-ed for the season coming. He was virtually ever-present for us. Not to mention the pandemic making buying clubs not willing to shell out, and selling clubs asking for exorbitant sums.

This season has been a forgetful one, and one that finally proved that the front 3 needs a real shaking up. I think Klopp knows it as well. This is the summer to sell as they are all approaching 30. Looking to next season, I expect Jota to be the first team starter, and Harvey Elliott to come back and give real competition. A new, established attacking player is a must.

If it is down to me, like I said earlier, I will get Kabak signed up (18mil is relatively low risk and he is still only 22) + with a full pre-season with the team and VVD alongside he will definitely get better. Then blow the rest of the budget on Erling Haaland.

Expect Bobby and/or Mane to leave. Also Ox and/or Shaq. If we can raise 80+ mil out of these lot, there is realistic chance. Keita is rumoured to be sold too.
If City don't buy him it won't be down to money. They can have other targets but realistically I expect City to bid because they need to replace Aguero. If they do then I guess they will get him.

Chelsea won't be buying Haaland, they have Werner Ziyech Pulisic Havertz from last summer, doubt anyone leaving after just 1-2 season. Add to that Abraham Giroud.
Utd have not been free spending lately and with pandemic and stingy owners, with Rashford Martial Greenwood and Cavani still at the club I don't see them going for Haaland just to stop us signing him. And I doubt Haaland's dad will be too happy if he joins Utd.
I can only see City as they have a vacancy to fill and money to pay. That's why I said if City go for it they will land him for sure.

Just noticed that Leicester's last 3 games are against Utd, Chelsea, and Spurs. if they drop 4 points from those games, we need to win all of ours.
A glimmer of hope for us, next game against Utd is surely a must-win.

Man UTD need the points to prevent City from lifting EPL crown. Mathematically still possible and to throw in the towel when it is still possible, is not responsible to their supporters. Don't forget besides us, City is also their rival.
We just need to give our best and win all our matches. If Leicester win 1 and draw 2, we're in.
