QUOTE(abu.shofwan @ Jun 26 2020, 12:29 AM) I guess that falls under "diet" category You gaining weight by over eating, just do the opposite. But TS already specifically asked for "other than diet" I vote weight training. I'm no expert, but I kinda thought this is more effective: build up your muscle while burning up the fat... Simple and minimal effort. Save money, time and energy some more. |

Weight training will increase resting metabolism - buff, may still have higher % fat for muscle tissue protection
Cardio will burn higher calories - lean and ripped |

It depends on your goal.
If you want to slim down fast then cardio will aid the fat loss provided you're in calorie deficit. If you want long term then must add weight training as muscle mass burn more calories. So the question now.. will you be able to maintain that diet (calorie deficit / maintenance) for life? If you cannot control your mouth then you need to compensate with more cardio. |

If you specifically want to lose body fats, weight training is without a doubt the first choice among the workouts. Weight training burns relatively more body fats and fewer muscles compared to cardio. Cardio, on the other hand, will only burn calories which come from the loss of muscles and body fats and it, unfortunately, doesn't add bulk to your body size.

Cardio. Definitely cardio to burn fat. Resistance would build muscle, could end up building muscle under the fat then you look even bulkier

If you do weight training, go for light weights and many reps to burn fat. Don't go heavy, you will end up building muscle
