As a matter of fact, I am using AVIRA quite fine.

Another option is NOD32, if you want to save money(apparently), go find the *ahem*s yourself.

Cheers to all!

i'm really doubting avira's performance, sure the detection rates are higher than kaspersky, but on many occasions it failed to properly clean/delete the viruses from my thumbdrive and pc.

Whats the use of detecting when it cannot fix the problem ?

Really? I believe that AVIRA's detection is lower than Kaspersky, even for False Positives.

Clean/Delete viruses? Well, if you know what you are doing, and you know what to do, that shouldn't be a problem.

Though I quite agree with the last sentence.

Kaspersky has an "internal affair", thus the discontinuation of services within AVS.

Cheers!

P.S. Internal Affairs is more than *ahems* LOL. cheers.gif

No, that was not the internal affair I meant.

It has something to do with s "split' within the company or so. AOL was afraid that AVS will be affected, thus they pulled out Kaspersky's Engine. Sad but true.

Cheers!

P.S. I didn't know that "internal affair" could have such an interesting misunderstanding... LOL cheers.gif
