Wow, Something Interesting just happen today.

Just as a recap, i have been lurking here for quite sometime complaining about the lack of Fiber in my area despite being surrounded by it.
There has been update from Tx Contractor trying to pull fibers as quick as possible and it's speculated that it's a move to counter TNB Allo Expansion.

Well today I got a message from contractor that TNB Allo will be available in my Taman and ask me details for subscriptions. So it makes sense now why their competitors are moving so
fast now after 10 years delay.

Apparently TNB Allo Used the Electrical Pole for their expansion like they shown in the video?
I thought they will have dedicated Telecom Pole like Tx for Fiber lines.

But that will give them advantage on expanding quickly i think.

I see, I think that page got mention that new area will be using Electrical Pole rather than newly lay pole( presumably to reduce deployment time).
And i'm thinking are they doing that to bypass pulling underground cable from the FDC as well?
I will scout for Allo Fiber Activities around my area and update in this thread. although i'm not sure what i'm looking for as i think the fiber is not color coded ?

I've already paid for this month(Sep) about week ago, seems like no response at all. I've already e-mail to them but no luck...So does the payment take a long time to process or what?

From what I have noticed, the FDP boxes where the final stretch of drop fibre goes into the customer homes are placed on new poles behind the rows of link homes. They won't use TM's telephone poles.

Only bangalows and semi-D homes which do not have space for new poles, TNB will have no choice but to use existing utility poles to place the FDPs which are normally located in front of the houses along the road.

Bigger poles for carrying lead or main trunk/backhaul cables to FDC (roadside cabinets) back to exchanges?

I seem to have notice that their FDC is always in front of their Electrical Substation? Probably a good place to look out?

I believe i saw a Tender for TNB ALLO Seri Rapat. Maybe that's where they put their central fiber equipment

just in time as my unifi contract is about to end in this october, time to "upgrade" to cheaper plan with higher speed.

Unless tm can give better offer to me, really tired with their non standard pricing where some customer get to pay lower fee, while other need to pay higher or full price to get the same package.

RM129 a month can get what from TM? Only a miserable 100M/50M plan. 5 times slower download and 10X slower upload.
